This archetype was king of the hill, waaaaaaay back before Baby Vara, who single-handedly destroyed it and sent it home crying, never to be seen again. Until now.
Stand Together is sooooo good in this removal meta, and the deck is just straight fast enough to run over the new Diogo combo. Teacher of Humility and Awakened Student do their things. But the lady who really does the heavy lifting, Genetrix Irel herself, absolutely nuts if you can get an aegis over her head. And sometimes even still if you can't.
The market is not 100% figured out, but I have the Vanq blade for void lockdown (and big removal); Dissociate for Harsh Rule (or diogo combo, or whatever); Infinite Hourglass for Diogo Combo or Permafrosts; Sword of Unity because yeah - it wins games. Pristine Light is the one I haven't used yet. So, not totally sure what the exact best market cards are, but pretty sure about both weapons being correct. One suggestion might be to remove Pristine Light and add Maddening Whisper instead.
I've messed around with the exact units in the deck, but this build seems to be the best version so far. The most obvious missing unit is Hojan, but you'll notice there is a distinct lack of ways to activate him - he just wasn't pulling his weight, so he's gone.
Possible changes to the list. Cards that could be
replaced include: Amaran Stinger and Xenan Obelisk (these two are a pair; if you ditch one, you ditch both), Tocas, and maybe Auric Recod-Keeper. Cards that could be
added include: Resolute Monk, Crownwatch Paladin, Valkyrie Enforcer, Hojan, Defiance, Temple Standard, Copperhall Elite, District Infantry. I have reasons for the exact list here, but you can feel free to rearrange the exact choices as you like.
From my deck log, I copied out my last 10 ranked games (the other 10 games were other modes) and I'm pasting them below. They show an 8-2 winrate here at the start of October.
