LeFayssal was asking on how to tackle a potential upgrade of this list.
I liked the idea of DWD giving out starter packs to give you a decent headstart on your collection but can also see that there are some weak spots in both the feln and rakano list provided.
Option 1
Make this a decent midrange list by adding more 3-4 drops, maybe even higher cost units and weapons or both.
We would need some kind of finisher that we try to get into this game, the usual suspects would be
Amilli, Cloudmarshal,
Rizahn, Greatbow Master and
Icaria, the Liberator
If you have those options available to you, consider aiming at a standard Rakano Midrange list or also Rakano Valkyries list.
BruisedByGods List works extremly well and has proven its worth.
Since this is a budget deck and list and also aimed at beginners, I dont think taking this approach with decent top end will work out for 99,99% of the players interested in a deck like this.
Option 2
We focus on whats good in the Rakano Archetype and decide on an aggressive early game plan with strong units that are decently statted for what we try to achieve.
This would mean that we would have to cut things that don't follow this plan.
Important note here is, that focussing on
ONE STRATEGY will be worth more than putting together 5 different ideas.
They might look good on paper but in reality it will weaken the decks overall strength.
This is the list I would run if I was on a budget and had just bought this deck, less midrange, less 'interesting things that could work' for more units that put in the actual work. I also updated the list in this deck directly so you can see which changes have been made.
Option 2,5
I already worked out a different list that utilizes the Gunslinger Tribe that can be found in Justice / Fire that could be checked out
here
Option 3
Get rid of the 2 and 3 off's in this deck, make it more consistent by fleshing it out and make the curve slightly more midrange.
Consider crafting Navani if you really like the concept and get the Ixtun Merchant in there to be able to fetch her directly on curve.
Having some Burn in form of
Obliterate could work, but this version has not been tested yet.
Please note that Navani looks amazing on paper but hasn't seen play the last couple of months, maybe never, im not sure about that. She is far away from a staple card in rakano, maybe even one of the last legendaries to consider if you dont fully commit to the theme and want some actual endgame like Icaria.
Still, for the sake of offering something for newer players to work towards I decided to put this together nonetheless, even though I would strongly advise against it!
This actual deck would look something like
