Information

Looking for guidance. Kindo Shadowstep and Tome of Horrors combo to make infinite mill as long as Kindo can't die, which means we need to dip into white. Basically everything in the deck either protects your pieces or gets them for you. Always use Merchants to pull out the Tome, as Kindo can be pulled out with either a merchant or Transpose. Best invincible card to pull this off with is Indifference, as it only costs one, unlike the others.

This deck is slow though. I have no idea how to speed things up and seal the victory. It's sloppy and un-refined, but the potential is there.
One relic.
One unit.
One spell.
One win.
Let's make this thing robust!

I mean the most simple way to speed the deck up a bit would be to run the combo pieces in the main deck instead of the market. While it seems good to run all the merchants possible and put all the combo pieces in the market all you're really doing is adding extra steps and cards you need to play to get to the combo. If you replaced the merchants with the combo pieces every time you drew one of those Merchants you could have just been drawing combo pieces instead and played it much earlier.

Though it seems like it's a pretty slow combo anyway since there's no way to really cheat the power like there is in a lot of other combo OTK decks. I do really like the concept though. We could make it Evenhanded easily enough as all the pieces you need for the combo are Even costed as Kindo is 4, Tome is 2 and Repel Darkness is also 2. Then you still also have access to all the negate and disruption in this deck.

Any ideas on a good replacement for Pause for Reflection? As it sits, that's really the only way to protect the Tome once played, besides negation tactics.

Honestly the whole merchant fiasco I have going on is simply because I have no idea what kind of shell this idea can fit nicely into. Haha. But Evenhanded sounds promising.

Yeah, not having the ability to ramp into the play really holds the concept back. I do like the idea of trying to make it evenhanded with all the pieces in the deck though. Could do away with half the market access easily and create room for more disruption and resilience somehow.
Thanks for the feedback, I honestly wasn't expecting anything as the last four decks I've posted have gotten nothing. (Even another [albeitcomplex] OTK deck using Smuggler's Toll, Kasava Trueheart/Righteous Intent, and Dizo's Racket.) Even posted it as a WiP at first with "looking for help" in the title. Haha.
I'll try out the evenhanded approach and see where it takes me.
May even be able to fit in a small Moon package with Ulixa and friends. I'll reply with what I've done. May post it as a new deck as well if it plays out.
Cheers!

Yeah, i'm also a big fan of weird OTK decks, I am currently playing one a fair amount that is actually pretty consistent and is posted here, I was also one of the people who helped refine the Twist Katra & Razorquill OTK deck back in the day, causing the deck to then get buried by nerfs. The deck I'm currently using is a Street Mob Mill deck. This deck can run pretty similarly I think. As it uses the same number of cards for the combo , and you can even set up the Tome the turn earlier saving on power costs a bit. I might put together my own version of this if you don't mind. I'd just put together my own idea for the deck and post it here unlisted for you to look at.

I think Tome of Horrors already had a pretty old OTK deck though, i'd have to go look. So finding that one as a frame of reference might be a decent place to start. I don't really comment on many decks, as a lot are just kind of weird or don't have much to say about. I feel like OTK strategies though are something I have some experience with though so thought I'd comment and offer my ideas.

Feel free to check out my deck too as it also runs a similar Evenhanded Feln Mill package in it. It's called 'You messed with the Wrong Gang', named after the Street Gang's on summon Voice line you hear a lot when playing the deck.

Nice, I'll definitely check it out.
Yeah, I'm always brainstorming and on the lookout for OTK stuff. I'm a combo player at heart, so I can't help myself. Ha.
I've also been using a really consistent OTK deck using Kanya/Executioner/Fair Exchange. The craziest part of the whole deck is that there's no black in it for the Executioners, just Reweaves and Imperial Loyalists. It also runs like 50 power, but this thing consistently goes off on turn five. Or seven if you know they have removal. You just need enough for a Loyalist and Fair Exchange.
I can't remember the name of it, but it's also listed on here. Highly recommend checking it out.

But yeah, you're more than welcome to play with the idea of this deck and see if you can't run with it. I'll be excited to see what you can come up with.
I tried an Evenhanded/Waxing Moon shell, and I didn't have a lot of success personally. But that's not to say it wouldn't be a good build with the right stuff.

And maybe you could check out my other OTK idea, with Dizo's Racket.
The set up is slow, and you can kill yourself easily if you don't have Meditative Trance in play before you set it up.

I pretty much spent a day looking at every card that says "when" and came up with it. It's been a rough concept ever since.
