Information

The latest iteration of my favourite brew that's lately been pretty much my personal brand - giving deadly to pinging units.

This time, taking a more controlly approach to it and designing the deck around Vara's Sanctum acting as an alternative to Kyrex Coach Driver. In fact, as a result of the deck being more controlly, even the cats (Firemane Cub) are so well controlled here, that they're sadly no longer even to be found at all! Still, they're here in spirit, and definitely in annoyance with the addition of Street Urchin.

Almost a win-con (apart from free AoE removal of course) for longer games is often a marketed Mokhnati, Restored - a 10/7 Deadly (when you have the relic) /w Overwhelm & Berserk that draws you a full hand when killed is pretty OP.

The one thing the deck struggles with a bit is enemy relics, but I've found running Burglarize seldom useful. If you want further explanation on the deck idea and plays you can make (takes a bit of getting used to), just stalk my previous decks or comment.

What I will say it, these days I wear my "Our prey calls" emote all the time with this deck, as it absolutely makes fun of the overly meta Hojan, Crownbreaker ;)

I'm really interested in this deck build, but I really want to know what your thoughts on excluding Alpine Tracker are. It seems like a perfect fit for the deck with a few adjustments.

Ok, threw together a really fast variation with just one BSH in the black market to make space for the Trackers. I did make a Deadly Tracker, which as I expected, felt quite awkward since I already had some board. I think what made that change shine is just being able to market for the Black-Sky Harbinger, it's a harder win-con than Tamarys :)
I think Alpine Tracker could make a fine market addition, but no more than that.

Meanwhile, this experiment has given me ideas for trying out a version with both Sanctum and BSH being in the market, and extra 4-pack smugglers. Stay tuned haha ^^

Interesting and good question! The few similar lists I've seen occasionally run it, but it's never appealed to me for one simple reason - it removes one of the biggest strengths of the AoE wipes, that they otherwise only affect the enemy side of the board, as well as sometimes being unplayable or not impactful. Usually it feels like I have more than enough targets for deadly-ing too, the challenge is the enablers.

For a moment now, I wondered if it's become perfect to clear own board for Vara's Sanctum, but that wouldn't work. Still, it being a hybrid of BSH + Highwayman with 0 friendly board + Sanctum could be really good! Thanks for reminding me of its existence, I may give that a try! :)
