HornStoker has returned, now in Expedition.
Shepherd's Horn +
Flamestoker is the core combo. Each turn, you spawn
Infernus and then gain 3 health, per Horn/Flamestoker.
Secondary combo cards:
Grodov's Burden means that each Infernus will drop a 5/5 Overwhelm Charge weapon. If you equip it on a unit, Shepherd's Horn will activate again, for more free health. Plus, the majority of your units are single faction, so you can potentially play them with the active ability and they'll have Exalted.
Dawnwalker will return to your board from void whenever Infernus is spawned. This also triggers Horn.
Striking Snake Formation - All these Overwhelm units like Killer. Dawnwalker
loves Killer. If you have Burden up, you can chain some monster attacks together.
Ramp, Cost Reduction, and Utility:
High Prophet of Sol,
Ark of Sol,
Magnificent Stranger,
Crimson Firemaw,
Braun, Regal Courier- these are your main sources of ramp and psuedo ramp.
Calibrate lets you dig for your combo cards or power in a pinch.
Antique Polisher reduces the cost of your expensive Flamestokers or Burden. (don't forget about Burden's spellcraft).
Kairos' Choice can put a unit back into hand, like Polisher or something with Overwhelm, but actually usually used to kill something.
Market:
Ark and Burden are common key Time market cards, already mentioned above, as is Striking Snake Formation.
Ancient Excavator is good for reclaiming broken/milled relics, but decent body in a pinch.
Thanks to Foremole for pointing out my Market snafu. I replaced Stoneshell with Yushkov, so you can throw those Infernus or Dawnwalkers directly at your targets.
I like that you've found a new way to ramp it into existence in Expedition! I have every intention of playing this nonstop.
Suggestion, if you're interested in the feedback, I find great value in Porcelain Mask. It's a huge advantage to see the enemy hand, silence a threat and makes your grodov elementals, cultists, strangers, polishers, offerings, firemaws, and Kairos all have overwhelm.
I put 3 in the deck (at the expense of 2 Braun and 1 Kairos) and I think it adds another layer.
Thanks for putting this together! Looks fun to play for sure!
