(Master) Haunting Scream with Vara

I didn't have the interest in building a Haunting Scream deck until they printed Vara. As we all know, she's pretty powerful. Given that, I don't think there's a better way to capitalize on her popularity than to Abduct your opponent's Vara and throw it back at them!

In addition, I think Chairman's Contract is quite underrated for this type of deck. If you mill Vara or Gorgon Fanatic right away, it allows for a potential turn 2 Haunting Scream. It doesn't happen that often, though, so don't get your hopes up, but it's still very good.

Azindel, Revealed is probably the hardest card to deal with for this deck, so if you can, consider saving an Abduct for later. Players will often search for Azindel with Auralian Merchant on turn 6 or 7 and that's the best time to steal it, if you can.
