Hey guys.. popping by real quick to share what I’ve been playing since the release of the glass campaign.
I am REALLY digging the new Azindel and Waystone relic.
The plan is simple, to just get to 8 to play old school Az, which 7/10 times results in instant scoops. Most important to note, is to grab spire ASAP.. because every unit we have will benefit, and it also makes our ramp azindel a viable body/threat.
Waystone ramping you into Az before giving you a grip of 5 cards is also a huge plus.. as the campaign just came out, I haven’t had much time to test this deck, but if I had to put numbers on it, I am easily 15 - 3 to 5 with this deck.
There’s definitely room for improvement, and to hear your thoughts would be great. Market can be flexed to your playstyle.. all in all.. a fun deck.
Happy hunting!
UPDATE: Deck had to be revamped.. I was doing so well, and then hit the most frustrating streak of bad matchups I’ve ever seen in the eternal algorithm -_-
Needless to say, I changed it enough to keep up with the meta, but also stick with the use of some of the new cards, and azindel theme.
More removal for the hasty-aggro decks that get under you by T5.. so tempo has to be kept.
Aegis being removed is a big factor. As azindel needs to access both players, aegis is super annoying to deal with.. so shadow and vara in.
Spire, while a fun card, is more for a different deck, and thus, merchants had to be shifted, and broker (better body and value) comes in handy.
Currently my record is now something like 30-20… but starting to go on streaks again. Will continue to test and would love to hear thoughts!
With that said though, I'm still missing a good chunk of key cards, and subbed out some other cards, and I wanted to know what you thought of this.
I noticed that I was running out of cards in hand, or not having enough sigils in the early game to get to the strong 4-5 mana turn, so I threw in 3 vara's favor, and 3 templar scribes, removing the 4 shadowcreeper and send the agents. I figured vara's favor fulfills a (kind of?) similar role to the shadowcreeper in removing aegis, and it helps me fetch some mana.
I made a lot of replacements due to budget, i'll list what I replaced and can you please let me know if some of the replaced cards are mandatory and should be crafted asap?
I dont have enough for dizos office so i just added some more removal in its place.
Replaced fall to ruin with stray into shadow since its too expensive
I dont have bastion rising campaign for send an agent so i put more removal in
from the market I only have lumen reclaimer and sinister rumors, I dont have the other 3, instead I replaced them with power stone and more card draw
Can you please let me know which, if any of the cards I replaced are mandatory/really important so I know which to target next?
Thanks for reading my super long post, and thanks so much again for the great deck! I hope to hear from you =)
