The point of this deck is to get Shard of the Spire out and get value off of it, and to appreciate never-played meme cards of course. Most of the units get hugely buffed from Shard of the Spire.
Copperhall Porter: This guy is just here to trade with aggro and draw you some power. Good candidate for replacement because he honestly doesn't do much.
Signal Flare could go here.
Red Canyon Smuggler: One of the ways to get your shard out. Merchants stop you from having dead shards in your hand. If you Rise to the Challenge on her, she will come out as a 4/4 double damage.
Rika, Desert Navigator : Shard makes her a 5/5. She can also wear some weapons and still get her warps off if you didn't draw spire.
Winchest Merchant: Just another way to get shard. Not as good as the smuggler.
Momentum Builder : One of the main memes in this deck. Becomes a 10/10 and beyond, and even if you don't have shard you can still put a weapon on it to get it to attack.
Shieldsmith : Becomes a decent 5/5 with lifesteal. It's useful for stalling, and it can even attack naturally if your miner's musket dies or you lose armor from waystones.
Robobuddy : Another meme card that is only useful in maybe two decks max, this being one of them. 6/6 charge that creates a 3/3 when it hits. I believe that is the best you will ever get out of this card.
Miner's Musket : There is no real curve in this deck and you will usually be clumsily playing 1 card per turn. This helps with that by making the expensive cards playable, and also giving you something to do early, not to mention trading with aggro units.
Ornate Katana : If you don't get spire, this is one way to make your units actually do something while not losing card advantage.
Doorknocker : Yes for one more power you can just play plate in this deck. But can your plate create a 3/3 double damage on an empty board? Let us not speak of the fact that
Twinstrike Master is already a 4/4 double damage for just 1 more power.
Defiance : You desperately need to stop early aggression until you can set up the shenaniganry.
Rise to the Challenge : Indirectly gets you shard. Immediately turns on Momentum Builder and Shieldsmith if needed, or otherwise just gets you whatever you need at that moment.

Vanquish : This is usually to kill some big flyer or other problem unit.
Shard of the Spire : The deck is somehow even worse without this.
Deepforged Plate : Overwhelm and endurance are pretty good here.
Amilli, Cloudmarshal : Becomes an 8/8 and deals with fliers, not to mention probably wins the game if he doesn't immediately die.
Stormhalt Knife : I believe that this card is busted as heck and sometimes you just need a free 5/5 relic weapon.
