I played comat0's Chainbrei in gauntlet more than 50 games, but as someone said it's not a deck optimized for gauntlet. So I've been trying out it for this week.
This deck has 28 power + 4 seek power + 11 early ramp units and even there is a
Combrei Banner in the market. Yes, I don't want to be power-screwed while I'm playing this type of deck.
Awakened Student,
Valkyrie Enforcer,
Knight-Chancellor Siraf are good tools to deal with early aggression. and well, every time deck in gauntlet should have 4 copies of
Sandstorm Titan without doubt.
Most of scenario, playing
Sword of Unity on
Sandstorm Titan or big guy means auto-win against more than half of gauntlet AI. And we got 3 swords in main deck, and 8 merchants that can grap the Sword.
Martyr's Chains is powerful late-game card, it makes our power cards into killing spell.
Why no removal like
Vanquish? - We can deal with AI threats with our big guys or chump with small guys to buy enough time to equip Chain. It's useless after we got chain.
Why no
Pit of Lenekta? - I think it's just anti control card, it's not that good against AI. I've played it a lot but it was just win-more card most of situation in gauntlet
This deck isn't that good against gauntlet boss, Caiphus and Curiox. That's the problem I've found.
