Well, this went pretty well. Good curve, solid bodies, good fixing, and some combat tricks and beefy finishers to close things out.
Was also the last draft I did of the previous format - playing against new-format decks was.... interesting, to say the least. Based on this sample, I'd say that the older format was a higher power level, but it's hard to draw any conclusions with a sample size of 1.
MVPs: while it's tempting to give it to the splashy finishers (
Champion Grappler and
Draw Strength), I'm actually going to give it to
Find the Way - good fixing is always worth running.
Highlight: I have two
Humbugs (from
Humbug Nest) and a
Longtail Cavalry. Five power, behind on board. Opponent on high health. They swing with a bunch of units. My response? Decimate
Fire Conjuring. Get
Sindok, Rage Incarnate. Double block a 4/5 with my now-3/1 Humbugs and
Mettle one of them, while trading off my 4/1 Cavalry with a 3/4. Throw weapon on the surviving Humbug, slam face, play Sindok for 4. Next turn, swing for lethal.
