Working on straight Hooru Control, so far feels good! I know the common wisdom is to play a 3rd faction for Icaria, but honestly I just don’t like playing her or playing against her so I wanted to give the Queen a try as the closer of choice.

How do you like Shelterwing Rider in this deck? I can tell that we both had the same idea in which way we took our decks, but Shelterwing felt so bad for me, where it actually matters. Imo its a decent blocker without aegis but without Nostrix its basically just that. :/

I like shelterwing here mostly as another aegis threat to eat up removal before Eilyn or Feastcaller come down. To me those two are the real win conditions for this deck. I agree Shelterwing sometimes leaves me disappointed. Other considerations are adding some weapons and Throne Warden, or adding Sheriff Marley for more aegis threats that soak up removal. I like the idea of Nostrix too, Marley would be a great addition as another Nostrix hit (or even her deputies!)

I was playing around with some of the same ideas as you.
The first version I tried pretended to be some sort of armoury deck with wardens and loads of weapons.

Marley proved to be a fantastic unit, in every deck ive run her. Nostrix also 'revives' your Shelterwings after the Aegis has been popped which feels fuckin good! :>
