The goal is to build a wide board and ramp to eight power as fast as you can. The sooner you pump up your tokens with Xenan Obelisk (finally seeing play in Xenan!) and start drawing ridiculous value with Azindel, Revealed the sooner your opponent concedes, so we run ramp and we run a lot of it.

Initiate of the Sands, Trail Maker, Auralian Merchant, and Duskwalker will have you sprinting towards eight power. Lunar Magus, Shakedown, and Amethyst Waystone help maintain nightfall while Duskwalker does his thing. You don't have hard removal, but Vara's Choice and Shakedown prevent threats from hitting the board in the first place. Discarding removal from your opponent's hand so your board sticks long enough to get buffed and bouncing threats that do make it onto the board are extremely helpful as well.

Really fun deck, gone 5-2 in ranked and smashed through a couple of gauntlets.

I’ve made two changes, swapped the Temple Scribes for Teacher of Humility, and swapped the Soulbringer for a Shadowlands Tyrant (purely because I got a premium one as a twitch drop, plus it triggers Azindel).

Can’t wait to get some more matches in with it

I'm glad to hear! Teacher is probably the right call, so I'll update the list to include her. Soulbringer is definitely the right card to take out for personal substitutions. His slot was up in the air as I was experimenting with cards, with Tyrant and Umbren Reaper being considered as well, but ultimately given up in favor of Soulbringer's lower influence requirement and token synergy. Tyrant works wonders with Azindel, and this deck is faster than killer recursion Xenan so you can make the magic happen earlier.
