First of all, I want to thank every one for the views and upvotes this build!! It has been so much fun tuning this deck to exactly where I want it. The main board is the final build of this deck, the one I use on the ladder. I have prepared a 15 card side board for tournament play based on some of the most likely match up conflicts. Please continue to leave your feedback and help me make this great :)

MaSQue Eternal Version: 1.26.3

AnbuSavage Eternal Version: 1.26.3
Lol, thats great news man. Let me be the first to welcome you to the Eternal community, we have a great group of people here. Feel free to leave constructive criticism as well. :D have a great day friend
Pugsley Edited Eternal Version: 1.26
After playing this deck for a bit I think that counterspells and Feeding Time aren't that great in this meta. Control is very beatable. I'm more concerned of unit heavy match ups. Even then I think Sabotage works much better anyway since it lets you look at the opponent's spells in hand before you go off. Reanimator strategies aren't a huge enough threat to justify a 4 mana non-fast removal either.

I've taken out Backlash, Feeding Time and Bad News for a split of Torch, Permafrost and Annihilate. Still toying with exact numbers but right now I'm playing 4/3/2 respectively. The early interaction has greatly helped me keep my opponent's board in check.

This deck is awesome! I've played a dozen or so rounds since last night with it - swapped out bad news for permafrost since I'm low on shiftstone - I would say my win rate isn't as high as some of my other decks (possibly b/c I'm still getting used to the strategy) - but the fun factor is super high! When this deck pops off it's pretty exciting. Thank you for sharing!
AnbuSavage Eternal Version: 1.26
Hey cereal, thanks for checking out the deck! The permafrost swap is a good one to make, I would even go so far as to say dont even craft bad news unless you were already planning on getting them for other builds. It is certainly a great card in the deck and adds another win condition to your toolbox, however this build is entirely functional w/o it if you are strapped on shiftstone.
Swatches Edited Eternal Version: 1.26
West-Wind Herald + Ghostform + Mirror Image is so fun. The copy keeps its lifesteal and unblockable forever. And now you have an army of unblockable aegis lifesteal flyers that grows by 1 member each turn, since the new one can infiltrate and cast Mirror Image again. And all without needing Spymaster in play.
AnbuSavage Eternal Version: 1.26
Hey swatches, thank you for checking out the build! I also enjoy using that combo in the mid game, its a great way to get mirror image in the yard for later use and it gives your opponent more problems, a truly happy day! :D
Datork Eternal Version: 1.26
hello again i have tried deck again and as i said before this deck have very poor win condition. mulligans always be bad coz you should start with gorgon and proper threshhold. if you cant you cant win especially against agro deck. your ultimate combo is endless atack but its very hard to get all cards and conditions. stay away dont spend your stones on this deck.
TheBearProphet Edited Eternal Version: 1.26
Hey there! I am loving this deck, even though I am not very good at the game. I often lose to early game aggro, but I'm guessing that a big part of it is the learning curve of the deck, as there are far more choices to make and more things to consider when deciding whether to mulligan or not. Anyway, I was wondering what your thoughts were on swapping the Backlash for Kaleb's Choice You still have the option to counterspell, but you gain the ability to destroy weapons and relics in exchange for having a bit more influence requirements and not doing damage. I see the damage as not a big deal, but being able to destroy attachments means that it has better synergy with West-Wind Herald since you don't need to cast it in response to something, and it makes it a more versatile pick in general. The faction restrictions on Kaleb's might be the biggest problem with this, as there are a fair number of relics, weapons and spells that you would be unable to stop.

Thoughts? Am I crazy? I might be trying this, but I am unsure.
zenben1126 Eternal Version: 1.25.1
Very cool deck. Would love a short guide on how to play it. I seem to be struggling a lot with getting past early game, mostly due to lack of cheap control cards and very few low-cost cards.

-What do you usually mulligan for? I try to get either Fanatic or Piercing Grief in my starting hand.
-What do you do when you can't get off to a good start?
-What do you prioritize for Mirror Image? I've had some success with it in the late game on Gunsmith and Herald. Do you use it early game in any situations?

For now I've added 2 permafrost to the deck to help a little with rough early games.
AnbuSavage Eternal Version: 1.25.1
zenben, thank you for checking the deck out bud! I will try to answer your questions as thoroughly as I can. Starting with the opening hand, you generally want to have Fanatic, Seek Power, Or Quarry+Scream with at least 3 power. Now in the scenario where your hand is bunk, this deck struggles pretty bad, if you open with a hand full of your late game there is a good chance you will just flat out lose. You can have bad starts though and still win with this build if you stay focused and pay attention to all the interactions at your disposal. That brings me to your 3rd question, mirror image was made to be in this specific deck as far as im concerned. The obvious inclusion is for the infinite combo involving playing mirror image on gunsmith while you have a west wind herald and a spymaster out to "infinitely" ping your opponent for one. however it can also be used just after playing haunting scream to give you 2 attacking infiltrators or to reanimate a dead spymaster. the thing about most of your spells is you can always run them out early if need be because you have ways of re-casting later. Also, a newer infinite combo in the deck that i am experimenting with is Herald+Spymaster+Bad News, allowing for infinite attacks with Herald. The Greifs are the most replacable card in the build, I used to run beastcaller in its place but Steward of the Past is a real card and I like that if my 'yard gets silenced at least Scream on a 3/1 is something lol. I hoped that helped clear up some confusion for you.
zenben1126 Eternal Version: 1.25.1
Thanks for the reply! I'm convinced I'm the most unlucky person in all of Eternal, but then again I'm sure others feel the same :P

It's a super complicated deck to use, just because of all the potential combos that are possible (but that's what makes it fun, too!). I legit hadn't even thought about the Bad News combo with Herald, but that sounds hella dope (have the cards in my deck, just a bit new to the game).

Gonna keep working on this! Thanks for the build, man.
zenben1126 Eternal Version: 1.25.1
Just played a game and wasn't able to play a single card before losing (not kidding)! You can't convince me otherwise: yep, I'm the most unlucky player in the game.
AnbuSavage Eternal Version: 1.25.1
Oh no!! Im sorry to hear that!! I always feel like the unluckiest player too when I get terrible draws, but that is the nature of a three color build sometimes, especially one with such a specialized purpose like this one. Im trying to get some time off to participate in one of the weekly tournaments so I can take this with a sideboard. I feel like this is a good performer if I put together a solid sideboard plan.
AnbuSavage Eternal Version: 1.25.1
Also if you are having removal problems do a full swap of the Greifs for Annihilates, that should help a ton
zenben1126 Eternal Version: 1.25.1
Annihilate was a huge help because ultimately the goal is to get to the crazy combo stage later in the game. Having annihilate lets you keep the board somewhat clear until you can set up your combos. I'm also getting better at the combos so seeing some more success today.

There is nothing more fun that thinking up some awesome combo from this deck in the heat of the moment!
AnbuSavage Eternal Version: 1.25.1
haha I agree with you 100% man, its a great feeling to dig yourself out of a ditch from having nothing, the possibilities are endless!! Im glad the Annihilate strat worked, I prefer them too. I was running Greif in its place because I was encountering a lot of burn on the ladder, its all about adjusting your toolbox cards to the meta :)
Datork Eternal Version: 1.25.1
hello this deck compeletely useless because of lack of information about how to play. i couldnt win any single battle at bronze league with 10 consecutively matches. just stay away i lost my hard earned 10 k shiftstone...
Mistygun Eternal Version: 1.25.1
Hi, first of all, sorry for my english.
From a few days ago, looking this combo, I remembered the omen past cards and began to think wich cards maybe could support this deck, but suddenly I saw Bad News. Today finally I decided play this new combo, keeping the old too, and I was surprised for less pieces of combo (only cabal + west + Bad News) It's "similar" to UR Twin in Magic.
Plz, did someone try it too?
AnbuSavage Eternal Version: 1.25.1
I havent experimented with this particular combo yet as I thought it to be too weak to flying blockers, but I think it might be possible to supplement it into the existing build as an alternate win con, maybe subbing some Scouting Parties out, I will experiment with it and let you know what I find out :)
Mistygun Eternal Version: 1.25.1
Maybe ghostform
AnbuSavage Edited Eternal Version: 1.25.1
I would argue that you keep ghostform over scouting because ghostform can get you around the flying blockers problem, giving you a reapeted attacking west wind thats unblockable :)
AnbuSavage Eternal Version: 1.25.1
I have updated the build on here to reflect how I am currently playing it with Bad News
BadBug Eternal Version: 1.25.1
Hi, thanks for sharing this deck, I'm trying it for the first time but having major problems when I have a bad early draws and my opponent easily wins snowballing in few rounds.
What do I want to have in the opening hand ?
Any strategies for the first few rounds ?

Thanks !
AnbuSavage Eternal Version: 1.25.1
Hey thank you for your interest in the build, in your opening hand you ideally want 3 power with at least 2/3 of colors, and cards like Fanatic and Grief with haunting scream. Hope this helps, feel free to ask more questions
BadBug Eternal Version: 1.25.1
Thanks for the tip.
I know the deck is great but I still fall with it in the early game.
I'll keep testing it to see what works best for me.
AnbuSavage Eternal Version: 1.25.1
No worries, please let me know what ends up working best for you! Im always looking to improve my builds
Ez3kie1 Eternal Version: 1.25.1
Just wanted to check, are the 2x The Witching Hour needed? If not, what would you sub them out for? Vara maybe?
AnbuSavage Eternal Version: 1.25.1
The two witching hours are definitely not needed, I threw those in for fun haha, You could do Vara, however when I am playing seriously, I swap them for the other two Scouting Party
frodoswaginz Edited Eternal Version: 1.25.1
does this still work with changes to west-wind herald?
AnbuSavage Eternal Version: 1.25.1
Im not sure which changes you are referring to? As of right now, the list as it is posted functions fantastically :) It has an incredible amount of staying power with only two glaring weaknesses, those being Steward of the Past and Reality Warden. However, good decision making with your removal should still make beating those entirely possible
frodoswaginz Eternal Version: 1.25.1
I see the mistake, The card text is different for west wind herald in game. the flavor text "for free" isn't in the game but the card functions the same. eternalwarcry needs to update to avoid further confusion
Stevercakes Eternal Version: 1.25.1
Annoyingly, this wasn't in the patch notes provided by DWD. I'll update the card when I get a chance next. Thanks for pointing it out.
AnbuSavage Eternal Version: 1.25.1
haha oh whoa! I didnt catch that man :)
dddarkchylde Eternal Version: 1.25
i made a tweaked alternate version of this for Gauntlet.eventhough i beat Gauntlet on masters with other decks,my version only has got me 3 red chests so far..ill post deck later if interested
zenben1126 Eternal Version: 1.25.1
Show usssss
AnbuSavage Eternal Version: 1.25
Yes! I would like to see your version when it is complete :) My list has also changed significantly since posting it. I will edit this list immediately.
Nefariousdolly Eternal Version: 1.21
WOW, this deck is very impressive when its clicking. This is by far one of the best decks I have seen at Warcry.
AnbuSavage Eternal Version: 1.21
Thank you very much! I have just updated it, let me know what you think!
AnbuSavage Eternal Version: 1.20.6
An update to the side-boarding process, Against Combrei, I have chose to swap Polymorph for Treachery and Vara's Favor for Heralds Song. This allows more effective play against 4 Desert Marshal and 4 Valk Enforcer. You use Herald's Song to drop Beastcaller or Gorgon into the void, then use Treachery prior to Haunting Scream. It is certainly a messy cluster of interactions to keep track of, but very doable. That makes 4 of 15 in the Board so far.
AnbuSavage Eternal Version: 1.20.6
I am currently in the process of creating a 15 card side-board for tournament style play, I will update this as soon as its finished
drewbagel423 Eternal Version: 1.20.6
How does this deck work? What are the scream and mirror targets?
Treelamp Eternal Version: 1.20.6
Now, I'm no expert, but I'll try to see if I can't run this down correctly.

Haunting Scream is nearly self explanatory. Basically anything Scream-able, is worth Screaming, conditionally. Direwood Beastcaller and Gorgon Fanatic are both prime choices, either advancing your board state with beefy creatures (Caller) or digging into more gas while helping keep you alive (Fanatic). The other option of Cabal Spymaster is also possibly viable, but that would be to complete the set of Cabal Spymaster + Calderan Gunsmith + West-Wind Herald, which assuming you have a Mirror Image in the void will go infinite, Re-casting Mirror on Gunsmith, who allows Herald to ping and Infiltrate to cast Mirror, all thanks to Spymaster. A bit fidgety, but the components can be assembled from hand and void, plus it's an instant win from any board position so, it works. Scream also has an off chance to hit Herald and Gunsmith if an earlier Quarry reduced their price from 5 to 4, but that's not something to plan around.

As for Mirror, well it's part of the combo as stated. First casts on Herald, or your most valuable creature at the time. Mind you, Scream + Mirror on the same turn enables two copies of a Flying & Charge creature of your choice, one of which won't die to Scream's end of turn stipulation. Which could net you four 5/5 Beast in case you had 5 power and a single Beastcaller in grave. It's also worth noting that Mirror needs to be in the grave for the combo to start rolling, however you can initiate the Heralds infiltration with Mirror on Gunsmith, but that is less likely than having it in the grave when the combo starts. Simply because you'd either need 8 power to cast Gunsmith + Mirror at once, or vulnerable combo pieces would have to survive a turn of an opponent just looking at them, which is unlikely assuming they have any power to stop it.

I can't really say how the deck works overall though. Although I will say that RNG Eternal doesn't even list the deck on their tiered list at all. Nor have I seen it in any of the Tournament Decks listings here on Warcry. As for Ladder? You can get by with a lot on ladder ;)
AnbuSavage Eternal Version: 1.20.6
Another cheeky use for Cabal Spymaster, is with the Mirror Image+Haunting Scream on Beastcaller, the second copy sticks around as an infinite Beast maker, assuming you can keep him alive haha
AnbuSavage Eternal Version: 1.20.6
That is a very in-depth explanation of every component :) The reason this deck is probably not very prevalent on a tier list is simply because the highest played decks usually have 4 desert marshal and 4 Valk enforcer. That being said, that is a total of 8 things they can eventually silence, another great reason to have mirror image, it simply creates more chaos than your opponent can handle with inevitability. Im not saying this is the Be-All-End-All of decks, but it is an absolute blast to play :)
AnbuSavage Eternal Version: 1.20.6
And it hasn't seen a tournament yet unfortunately :/ I simply am never available during the ETS due to work, I hope to participate soon though!
jihadnafsi Eternal Version: 1.25.1
Wondering where direwood beast caller went and why the piercing grief? What's the endgame here? You are only running gorgon fanatic for infilitrate, and everything cost 3 or less is sacrificed. Am I missing something?
AnbuSavage Eternal Version: 1.25.1
I took out beastcaller for laddering purposes, I still think it is completely interchangeable with Piercing Grief. I went with grief for the life steal and because there are a lot of harsh rules in ladder. I essentially built the deck in a way where my creatures arent meant to be on the board with an offensive purpose outside of Gunsmith. So grief just gives you lasting power against aggro
djgraymtg Eternal Version: 1.20.6
Deck is sweet! Can't wait to try it!
AnbuSavage Eternal Version: 1.20.6
Thank you! I hope you find success with it, at the very least you will have a great time! haha
