Holding steady at top of the ladder playing this. Get damage in early with cheap units and then face damage to seal the game. I don't run Murgo since he requires 2S and we want to prioritize hitting 2F for Calm Instructor and Longbow.
The ShiftstonedEternal Power Calculator is a deck-building tool that visualizes your odds of drawing enough Influence and Power based specifically on the cards found in your deck.
I like a lot of the innovations here, like Liquid Flame and two Vara's Favor since you are now running more expensive cards. But not running Murgo is just wrong, sorry. Murgo is the best 2 drop in Expedition, with the possible exception of the Archivist. And when I play Stonescar, I've usually been able to play him on curve.
The ideal curve for this deck is to play a 1-cost unit the first turn, another unit (or two units) the next turn, and Calm Instructor the third turn. In order to play Murgo on turn 2 you will need 2S. However, going for 2S means you are not going to be able to hit 2F on turn 3. Murgo is also easier to kill than Karrina. In addition, this deck usually wins before you would have the power to use Murgo's ultimate, so he doesn't generate value that way either. I agree that Murgo is a very good card, but he doesn't fit into this deck's game plan.
