A deck built around doing broken things with empower. V2 doubles down on aggro by replacing
Amber Acolyte with
Direwood Slasher, moving
Regent's Tomb to the marketplace, and swapping out crests for banners to give more shots at active power.
29 power ensures you always have fuel for empower.
Token of Vision is in the market for the tri-faction influence fixing.
Finest Hour and
Vanquisher's Blade allow for some sick combos with
Hojan, Crownbreaker's renown and
Direwood Slasher's berserk.
Siraf's Beacon,
Regent's Tomb, and
Vara, Vengeance-Seeker provide mid-game threats, and your finishers are
Telut, Queen's Hand and
Azindel, Revealed.
Your removal suite is
Vanquisher's Blade, which doubles as buff/renown activator, and
Vanquish in the marketplace.
Defiance,
Slay, or
Suffocate might be worth consideration, but to be honest if this deck loses the board, you've pretty much lost the game, so aggro decks that can get under it and control decks with lots of AoE and healing are its weakness.
Unwavering Exorcist is experimental tech against
Avigraft,
Permafrost, et al. I'm still not sure what is optimal usage of the marketplace.
TODO
* Try
Crownwatch Standard for more buffs, but I don't want to risk more depleted power
* Try adding another 1-drop to improve consistency
* Optimize the marketplace. I've never actually gotten to play
Unwavering Exorcist, so maybe it's not worth it, but
Regent's Tomb,
Vanquish and
Azindel, Revealed have won me several games. Maybe silence (e.g.
Desert Marshal,
Valkyrie Enforcer) is worth a shot?
