FTJ Volatility Control

This is my favorite brew that I have ever made. It started off with falling in love with Volatility in Rakano Midrange, loving called Volkano. After loving the rush of Volatility drawing 4+ cards on turn 2 I wanted to push it further. I wanted to always draw Xo and always draw Harsh Rule as those were the best cards to hit off Volatility. This led me to trying to find Xo 5-8 which turned out is Nictotraxian. From there finding Harsh Rule 5-8 was easy with Shen-Ra Speaks.

So, from there the core of my deck was formed:

4 Volatility
4 Harsh Rule
4 Shen-Ra Speaks
4 Xo
4 Nictotraxian

Now that I'm drawing a million cards I needed something to do with all of those digital rectangles (let's be real random cards, Nictotraxian and leftover Xo's are just pixels). It's not anything new to play 8 Merchants and 4 Xo, but I'm running 8 Xo so I should run 16 outlets to take advantage of all of the recyclables. I didn't really want to run 16 Merchants so I started looking for some more discard outlets. The first one was a carryover from Volkano, Bulletshaper. I really liked Bulletshaper because it helped fix influence and ramp out some earlier Harsh Rules to be pretend Hailstorms. Lastly I wanted EVEN MORE CARD DRAW and the best draw engine that isn't 2 Power is Honor of Claws AND it discards pixels.

Now I needed some things to not just die on the first three turns, so some one power plays, nothing of note here because they are all deck staples

4 Seek Power
4 Torch
4 Defiance

At this point you may be asking, "how do you actually win?" I went with the Elysian Smuggler because it can actually be a clock. We also win with the random units that Nicto may happen to put in our hand or a Xo if things have gone horribly wrong for our opponent. To help turn these pixels into actual wins I decided to give them a shot in the arm with Chains.

The Market:

Nothing too special except Excavate and Wand.

Wand is my second favorite card from EoE, it does a little bit of everything and can turn your Smugglers into real clocks.

Excavate is primarily for recasting Parliament but can snag Harsh Rules if absolutely needed.
