Hey, everyone. This is yet another combo deck featuring Aymar! Haven't had one of those in a while, have we? But this deck is different in that rather than playing a bunch of small units, we play the same one over and over again! Normally I'd say let's look at how the deck works, but it kind of doesn't, because you time out first. Heck, even in gauntlet the game bugged before I finished comboing the first time. Instead, let's look at "why the cards are there".
The combo:
Aymar, Dark Summoner lets us play
Invasive Species for free. That dies from the -2/-1 curse, so we get another copy into the market from the entomb effect. We can then play it over and over until the timer passes the turn to your opponent.
Iceberg Scattershot and
Hearth Smasher can trigger the bargain on invasive species to start the loop, and ping your opponent every iteration.
Reweave and
Direwood Hymn help you find the combo pieces.
The two drops:
Powercell is a known good unit. Prolly the only one in the deck. Ramps or gets card advantage with merchant. Notably, playing it is +1 power with Aymar out.
Trail Maker and
Unfamiliar Interloper are there for fixing influence. Conveniently, these two die when played with Aymar, which can be necessary for starting the loop with Hearth Smasher.
Lethrai Marauder is there to discard a card if need be to trigger the bargain on Invasive Species.
The 4 drops:
Armaments Collector helps find our combo pieces, and when you need to combo off, you can reweave it into Iceberg Scattershot with Aymar out. The shift will prevent the curse from being played on the Scattershot, and Armament Collector's entomb effect will let you discard the rest of your hand, triggering the bargain! At least, I think it does. To be honest, I only had the patience for like, 3 gauntlet games with this deck.
Imperial Loyalist also works well with reweave. You can shift out Aymar, and then your units will be cheaper, so you can find Hearthsmasher off the renown effect. Again, I think it's supposed to work that way. Someone will have to test that.
The Market
Invasive Species - For the combo. It is sometimes correct to pull it out of the market if that is the only way to start the combo with Hearth Smasher.
Open Contract - Cheap removal. Maybe there's a line somewhere where you hit your own unit, and then reweave into a cost reduced unit. That'd be pretty sweet if that happened.
Remembrance - For buying back Aymar. Aymar gives voidbound, so you can't use this while he's out. Also, if you get it you need to use it, because you have to be empty-handed to trigger bargain. Be careful.
Honor of Claws - To find combo pieces. Also discards the card you won't be able to play so that you can bargain.
Saloon Massacre - For aggro.
Anyway, this deck really isn't much fun to play. A lot of clicking and waiting. Any comments or suggestions are welcome though, and I hope you have fun playing something else on ladder!
