I found this really interesting Moment of Creation based deck, and I'm a big fan of long, grindy control matches where I draw cards, remove units, and counter spells. The first list is a copy paste of the original deck, which I'll update with my version at the moment (no pun intended).
One major potential synergy I noticed was with
Diogo Málaga, Elonze. There's a neat curve where you play turn 3 Smuggler to grab him, turn 5
Garden of Omens casting
Melt Down or
Ice Bolt, then turn 6 playing
Resurface as your site spell, and
Diogo Málaga, Elonze to give that spell Destiny. This works well, because usually your site comes down without much unit protection, so you want to cast
Ice Bolt to pick off a unit or
Melt Down for a relic weapon. Then, even if your site is dealt with, you get a free cast at any spell in your deck. I've kept one
Channel the Tempest and added one
Celestial Omen to maximize this synergy; Channel lets you draw 3 cards and blast any target, Omen lets you draw any card. I haven't tested it thoroughly yet, but the sheer amount of utility this provides seems off the charts.
Howling Peak seemed okay, but unnecessary.
Calderan Cradle is something you wanna play asap, so this doesn't seem like the deck to want it.
Mokhnati, Restored feels like a win-more top-end card that has no synergy. They've been replaced with the 3 flex slots in this market:
Savage Denial,
Hailstorm and
Royal Decree. Swap these to adapt to meta shifts, or to shore up weaknesses you notice. Potential cards for these slots include:
Purify,
Unseal,
Rejection,
Kaleb's Choice,
Bore,
Casualties of the Cause,
Disjunction, or any other card you think handles the current meta. On a related note, I don't like
End of Hostilities, because with so few units, it's often a 6 cost
Mirror Image. I cut it to add more copies of some other card.
Not having
Temporal Distortion feels like a massive oversight to me. Being able to play two turns worth of power is good enough, but *also* being able to cast a Moment of Creation at instant speed and immediately swing can punish any aggro deck desparate to hit you for those last few points of life, serve as surprise blockers, or both. If up against too much attachment hate, consider replacing your attachment hate with
Disjunction.
I also didn't like the small number of units (Yes, it is a Moment deck, but I felt I was dying to unit combat before casing Moment too often). I added a pair of
Howling Peak Smugglers. This helps the deck beat aggro, since you find Hailstorm more often, and have more blockers. I had a few too many games where I overdrew on
Wisdom of the Elders and
Honor of Claws and didn't hit removal/units. So, I cut 4 Honor and 2 Wisdom, and added 2 Smugglers and 4 Strategize. This makes the deck more proactive as a whole. Your spells are still the first line of defense, but now you've got blockers to back them up.
