Hey guys!... not sure how I feel about the new set, as it’s still new but I’ve found a way to exploit the draw abuse algorithm we’ve all come to love from recent worldpyre decks *rolls eyes*... and do so in a fun fashion! (At least I think)

So here, we have a lastlight judgement deck, except now, with our introduction of Beacon we can have a seemingly empty hand and boost our mana efficiency, no longer needing to sit and pass the turn.. we create draws on top of the flood of lands we will have, also helping us create threats and draw towards our combo.

Decimate. Decimate, decimate, decimate... we don’t care about our mana really.. Eloz is awesome and we have low cost creatures that do something between beholder, broker, and soulflame. The deck has been fun for me so far

The market I’m still up in the air on.. so far, our Triumphant stranger, Vargo, and display have been the alternating grabs. Shen-ra speaks and wrath haven’t been grabbed once... but the thought behind it was if there was no decimating going on, and stale draws, you could at least clear the board with a wipe, and if you were flooding out, you could draw a full hand, or if after the judgement happened you could accelerate your mana grabs to build up quicker than the opponent.

The deck has been fun so far. I post the deck now because after playing 10 games and winning 7, I thought I could share it, maybe improve it, and get an idea of how to fit the new set into the meta! Thoughts and comments appreciated, enjoy!

UPDATE: played a few more games and realize that the market can be played with.. added a couple of newer cards to see how they play. Record now is 13-4

UPDATE: still only alternating between the 3 in market.. and unsure what is really needed, as most games I’m winning before I have time to market value.. will try staff in the build to increase chances of full colors while gaining some card advantage. Will continue to test. Record is now 18-5

UPDATE: deck is still performing awesome and I made some slight adjustments to the market to ensure a playable card off of lastlight, as well as a wrath in the main to keep pushing land drops. A 1-of I think is enough. Will continue to test. Current record stands at about 30-11

I'm looking at this and I'm confused by the game plan. I can see feasible turn 3 Lastlight that won't involve TOO much in terms of recovering from the set up, while also maximizing your value from the discards since you will be at like.... 2 or 3 cards, in hand on turn 3. So, I guess my confusion is are you looking for a Lastlight as soon as possible, or only as needed.

I'm coming back to Eternal after having been out since around Flame of Xulta's release so I'm just seeing what's changed

Hey there!... well, yes and no... between soulflame rider, wandering beholder, and lastlight those are your outs, and you can trigger it quick and easy... but if you don’t find it, you can just swamp the boards with your land creatures or ride out beacon.. I personally tend to use it as needed, but it takes some playing with to see what your preference is.. I’ve also swapped market sanctuary with waters of life.. echo one cost still giving life... Eloz is the key card, he allows you to keep tempo with your decimation triggers.. (opponent can help speed up your lastlight as well, which is cool)

That’s the thing... I don’t look for any particular piece... if I had to say, at least a reap, Eloz, and shadow/justice/time somehow in any combination... the whole deck decimates so Eloz is definitely the one you want to look for

hey I got a question.
what is the oasis sanctuary here for? Perhaps for after using the lastlight? wouldnt water of life be slightly better🤔

It is for after lastlight... that’s the echo one... that’s cheaper right?.... yeah, I completely forgot about that one.. I’m gonna test it... I was looking at the higher life amount and with so many lands I’m always up to 4/5 mana no problem after
