Information

So I normally only post decks that I go ten runs without a game loss, and this deck is very close, with our only loss coming in the form of the Devine Intervention deck living up to its name and putting 21 power in play t2. So I’m going to count this anyway.

This archetype has been around for a while so I won’t go to in depth on the play pattern, but the basic idea is you have cheap fatties with an ETB downside that you cheat with suppression effects. Rest of the deck is kinda just a control shell to survive till you can assemble your pieces. AI will never pay for check raise so it’s just 1 cost hard counter, and nomnom is a combat hoser that the AI doesn’t understand how to interact with.

Great deck if you like playing control but also want access to t6 wins.

Happy grinding everyone!

Edit: was told that power screw was an issue that people were having, so I swapped out one bear for the last Xo and cut Nomnom for an inscribe card in the market. I don’t love cutting Nomnom, he’s a blast to play and a hoser vs the AI, but he is typically win more so I think it’s fair for making the deck functional in more situations.

I was hyped to try the deck because suppressor and sling is fun, but that's my fourth loss on the 5th game, out of 10 runs or so. A fast or mildly aggressive deck plays on curve, while I draw slings, power, big dragons, and spell negation. Sure some times you curve out well, but decks like Ancient Expeditions seem to just painlessly run me over. I don't think the deck has the survivability you argue and is pretty swingy.

Sorry you haven’t been having the same luck, if counter spells aren’t doing much for you you could try running full set of permafrost, or swapping the choice in the market to something like garden of omens. Personally those kind of decks haven’t been an issue for me, but I can see how this deck can draw poorly for them.
