A Burn deck I've been working on that uses Soothsayer. Starting to test Sanctum to help with power while Warping, I was running -4 Sanctum +1 Favor/SP, +2 Ixtun Merchant. I was running DoI for a bit, kinda want to put it back in.
More tweaks with the release of PbF.
If you had actually read my description you'd see that I said I've ran DoI before and am thinking of trying it again. That indicates I'm working on the burn package.
*Temple Tactic is interaction, your burn spells can be if you keep count of what you have left in your deck, Downpour is interaction.
*The whole deck is built upon synergy between Forge and the costs of your cards to be able to Warp through enough of your deck to potentially otk opps. There's synergy with Camel+Sanctum+Glimpse to play more power and not interrupt your combo.
*The wincon is obviously the Forge+Glimpse+Burn.
No, I don't have any Factory Quota. While the restriction on Lifegain would be very helpful I'm not sure how good it'd be in the current meta. Vara is mostly the Lifegain I run into and a Temple Tactic usually takes care of her. The fact that it's damage can stack isn't negligible but there are more than a few mu that both of it's lines of text don't help. The market only has one flex slot for the current shell, I wouldn't consider Quota for it since Downpour is more helpful I think. 1-2 mb could be a consideration though since it's free with Forge and you see enough of your deck when you go off.
It might be helpful to actually look at the deck and how it intends to work before commenting. Some of what you said was valid, e.g. how much damage I push with my burn, and Quota, but I literally addressed the former in the short deck description.
I see what you are aiming to do, 2 merchants for 2 card combo. But 34 damage is too low to rely on. Downpour is not an interaction, but Temple Tactics is. You have 16 merchants so probably turn 6 go off is real. Clear downpour for Hail, coz as of now it looks like you don't want to wipe your board, but most of the time 2 damage is not enough or too late turn 4.
P.S. not necessary Quota, I would say one of 2 units that has same effect.
P.P.S.: Shadow has solution for removing Sigils off the top as well as another 1-2 slot burn.
At the moment I'm stuck where I'm not sure what else I can experiment with without taking a somewhat different approach, like running a higher curve but running 4 Forge. The deck runs good so far the way it is. I am thinking about adding in some off-color Standards as long as it doesn't compromise my influence.
