Thought I'd post an updated list before the new set drops for anyone that needs a tried and true gauntlet grinder after reset. As ever, this is in essence just a Feln
The Throne Room list optimized for a tight curve and consistency in gauntlet.
Generally, old strategies from
Midnight Gale Tempo V2 still apply.
A few key changes from the previous list. Friendship ended with
Mother of Skies, now
Grenahen is my new 2-drop value generator. It adds synergy with our other new addition, the newly buffed
Lethrai Soothsayer, which itself fits snugly into the deck as yet another 3-mana threat that also gives you the cool Premonition Bolts, which Hen can then dig for. Grenahen also provides another potential
Felrauk the Outcast discard outlet.
Blightmoth isn't good enough at 3 when we want to be dealing damage.
As usual, piloting this deck involves a lot of reading the situation and adapting your game plan accordingly. Thus, somewhat abnormally, it's often better to hold your Hens until you have a better grasp of the situation and what you want to dig for (a similar function to Lightning Sprite). If you have Hen, Raptor, and a crest for example, Raptor turn 1 and crest turn 2, holding the hen until after you've slammed all your 3-drops. This deck's still quite aggressive at heart.
Another example is instead of Hen turn 2 on an empty board, I find it's better to hold up a
Condemn and fetch
Avoid Death or Seek or something. Late game, use the hen to dig for premonition bolts or whatever creature you need at the time. Champ if you need to break through, sprite if you need to filter, Gale if you need a blocker, soothsayer if want to attack and build momentum, etc.
