For BadBug: My current ladder deck.
Edit: Did some serious tuning to make this more fit for the ladder, more Midrange Goodstuff + more flexible options - less greedy and gimmicky = more wins . . . Who would have known ;P

Edit: Minor tweak for meta reasons, -1 Lightning Strike and +1 Scorpion Wasp. Units are better for Obelisk anyways, but when I built the list I face a lot Rakano, so the Strike came in handy to cut their Warcries early aswell as Relic Weapons, but atm I can afford to wait for Wasp most times.

Is a version of the deck possible without the call the ancients and the curiox?

Sure, just lean even more into the ElysianMid shell then. That's 4 Slots and you have less fatties and a lower chance to draw into gas, so I'd probably complete the playset with an additional copy for Friendly Wisp, False Prince , Sandstorm Titan and either the Xenan Obelisk if you want more raw power or if you like more variance but a higher power ceiling add the 4th Crown of Possibilites.
P.S.: If you're a bit more greedy you can play a single copy of Emeritus in place of the 4th Wisp to replace Curiox... at least old Emmy has the Eye in his hand.

Thanks again, looks solid if you get the crown fast enough.
But I can see that in this version you didn't use the mating call and the divining rod which is a big part of the fun and flood the battlefield with titans :)

If crown doesn't come early, the deck packs enough punch to have the time digging for it with all that draw, thanks to Obelisk, Twilight Hunt, Dawnwalker, Cirso... and yes Mating Call and Rod are a lot of fun with Ancients, but it's also quite gimmicky and has a higher variance, which makes climbing the ladder harder.
Like I said, this deck isn't revolving around Call the Ancients. It DOES make very good use of it though.
Oh and thanks to all that draw and Twinning Ritual, you still often flood the board with Ancients, just in a more manual way ;P

Btw. minutes ago I couldn't stand anymore to leave Nicky without her brother in this deck, did a craft and then replaced one of the Strategizes with a premium Curiox, the Collector (can't have him as the pleb version next to his glorious sister, right?)

Absolutely, and his Dragon Eye helps finding Ancients... can't wait for his sis and him flying alongside each other in a game.
Oh another btw., just thought of it, this deck still can do the Mating Call and/or Divining Rod trick, if Nicky feels like bringing those along ;P

Well told you my approach in game... anyways, took some time to overhaul the deck and I'm pretty confident this list should be suited for the high ranks and get me there when I'm taking climbing serious at the end of the season ;)
