Greetings, one and all! After my monoTime deck featuring DINOSAURS from last season got me to Masters, it seemed to lose its edge across the entire field. Frustrated but committed to monoTime, I decided to try something... different. With Evenhanded Argenport Paladins running rampant at the top of the ladder, I was eager to try an
Evenhanded Golem deck of my own.
I climbed from the bottom of Diamond I to 23rd in Masters in my four hours of streaming with the deck after I first built it. My current match history is 15-5, with the two most recent games being a win and a loss against a viewer's own Evenhanded monoTime list.
Therefore, with a record of 14-4 in Master ranked matches, my current winrate is 77.78%
I'll try to update with a primer later, but the deck is fairly simple in its priorities - flood the board, play obelisks, win.
The matchup against Diogo combo seems to be very favorable so far, with a 3-1 record in the small sample size of four matches across 30-50 total. The first three wins were resounding, but the loss also felt pretty convincing. Paladins are very beatable, but the match requires a careful balance of patience and assertion. I tend to lose games frequently in general by making ill-advised attacks, and Paladins will absolutely punish you with a loss for making a poor attack. Yetis can also be a problem if you come out of the gates slow, but then there are some hands you just can't lose with.
All in all the deck is a monster and I eagerly encourage anyone who has the cards to try it out. Other cards to consider if you are missing cards or want to experiment -
Cykalis, the Burning Sand,
Temple Standard, and
Mystic Ascendant.
Cheers!
