The first of two theorycrafting builds for this week:
Know When to Hold 'em presents a challenge. It's
Linrei's Kiss for 1 cost with a heavy time restriction. Linrei's Kiss isn't played much that I'm aware of, because even with the cost reduction it's a very large price to pay for getting the one card you need. So how does this work at 1 mana at slow speed?
The answer is fate. Using this spell-heavy mono-Primal midrange deck based around
Mokhnati, Restored and
Prodigious Sorcery, the new promo has a special place of creating snowballs whenever we need them by fetching
Jotun Hurler, then burying the Jotun with either
Primal Etchings,
Strategize, or
Jennev Merchant.
7/23 Update:
All copies are unlocked and testing has gone pretty well so far. The final build includes
Mistveil Drake as a one-of for when you need aegis. If you can hold onto the face aegis for five turns (completely feasible), the drake turns into quite a beatstick.
