Basically you want to get Unraveling Fanatic either by playing him or using Reweave on a 3 cast to pull him out. Wait and protect him till he transforms and then mow over everything. Psionic Savant pairs nicely with him too.

Currently it's hit or miss on wins, probably 50/50, suggestions are welcome.
