The ShiftstonedEternal Power Calculator is a deck-building tool that visualizes your odds of drawing enough Influence and Power based specifically on the cards found in your deck.
It doesn't surprise me that this deck made first. It's really quite fantastic. I'm not usually a fan of Hurlers, but I've never seen snowballs be this effective in any deck before. Stingers and 16 anti aggro removal spells help it survive, and yet it has enough gas to not run out 'til like turn 34... (okay, maybe a little exaggeration, there, but not by much, lol).
You're completely correct - this deck has a huge amount of cheap interaction to combat aggro while still having some of the best lategame in the meta. Hurler, in particular, fulfills 3 different roles, being both a piece of cheap interaction to combat aggro, a fate card to combo with merchants and strategize, and a 5-drop unit that can beat down. The 5 counterspells (4 display and 1 choice) help a ton against the more wacky decks out there, like reanimator and temporal. FJS, in particular, is a great matchup, as their only real way to win is with deepforged plate and we can usually answer it (equivocate or multiple burn spells).
Absolutely. It's funny because until your version, I simply couldn't, for the life of me, get any Jennev Peak(ish) deck to work, ultimately. I think what this version has is all that cheap aggro interaction and those Hurlers (as you described). Great build and great job on placing 1st!
Oh! I forgot to mention the displays here doubling as counterspells is fu***ng ridiculous. I honestly think this is the best deck in the game, atm. What meta could this even be bad in? It handles every situation so well. Obviously it can still lose, but it's very versatile.
And who knew the stinger was going to become so OP? I played a game against a "Scrappy Hour" deck that, for some reason, played Toppletowers, landing one on T3, and as a result, knowing this, I forced an early Stinger through, knowing that the deadly little scorpions would answer all instances of those plus the scraptanks (thus saving my removal for the Scrappers and the Gearcrunchers). I ended up just flying over with Xo in the end.
I cant believe Amaran Stinger was overlooked for so long.
I reached the Rank Master today.
It was a little easier to win Ixtun.
