Hi All! Magikarp here from Team Rankstar.
This is a deck that I took to rank 1 masters from Diamond 3 with a 26-4 record. The deck is a traditional Praxis Midrange build with some anti metagame elements thrown in there for good measure.
3 Xenan Initiation Main, 1 Market - notice that there is a lack of purify but 4 of these in the 80 cards. This is due to more decks playing cards like Icaria (Rakano, Icaria Blue, Icaria Black). Being able to use as many fight mechanics as possible is a nice place to be right now.
3 Reliquary Raider - This card has seen almost no play lately. Due to skycrag being one of the "go under decks" on ladder and more Icaria blue than ever popping up, I felt like this was a nice inclusion. With the addition of this 3 drop, this build tends to have way less turns of, "do nothing and wait for your 5 or 6 drop" and gets to be very proactive. Additionally, raider is very nice vs control decks and don't forget, you can slap an initiation on this gal' and fight something (while also drawing a card!)
Also, I can't stress this enough. Your Teacher and Sandstorm Titan are basically kill on sight for most matchups. If raider survives, its drawing you 1, 2, or 3 cards at times. If it eats a removal spell, that's one less that your opponent will have once you start throwing down actual big time creatures. Having a "kill on sight" card in every spot on your curve is something that a lot of people don't think about when building these tempo curve out decks.
2 Xenan Obelisk - I can't seem to play less than 2 of these in any praxis build I try. The effect is just too powerful, and with adding additional 3 drops and less, obelisk is usually always very good. But, unlike tokens, you're perfectly fine not drawing one in 50% or more of your games (basically, I always love 1, never really want more than 1, which is why I'm at 2)
2 Alhed, Mount Breaker - This card is your best late game threat, and can take over games that normally would be out of your reach. You don't ever want more than 1, but if this thing sticks, it's VERY good.
1 Thundering Kerasaur (Market) - card is gas against anything control. Is also fine in the midrange mirrors, since it's usually just bigger. The 4 time requirement is what is always going to hold this card back. That being said, 1 market feels real good.
I hope you all enjoyed this overview. Go forth and smash people with big, dumb, Time creatures!
