i don’t play much anymore but i’ve been relaxing at night against the gauntlet and this has been pretty effectively slaying it as well as hitting a bunch of quests like play x big units
The ShiftstonedEternal Power Calculator is a deck-building tool that visualizes your odds of drawing enough Influence and Power based specifically on the cards found in your deck.
This consistently loses game 3 or 4 vs the gauntlet on master level. I can see the potential but the game definitely stalls the deck quite often. To be fair I have yet to find a deck list that doesn't fail to Master Gauntlet eventually. Some are better than others. This one seems somewhere in the middle of the pack with the most successful being mono time.
For a random example right after I posted this I ran the gauntlet again and at game 4 lost to drawing 3x7 cost units and 4 sigils vs a highly aggressive and murderous deck. There was no chance for me to stabilize despite eventually drawing a wrath effect. When the deck works, it can definitely give most of the enemy decks a run for the money but it loses like ALL the other decks in the game to RNGesus and that's why I dislike the "This deck beats the gauntlet consistently" because it does not. It might win occasionally and if you have had a good run with it more power to you but people should not expect a winner here. (Or anywhere once Master level is passed.)
I came super close to actually laughing out loud at this comment.
Gauntlet is a game of efficiency and consistency. All you have to do is look at this deck, see that it's 1/3 clunky top end, and it is super obvious that anytime you mulligan into all top end you are probably about to be making a quick exit against even average opponent draws.
39-1 is clearly a luck issue along with blinders about the amount of auto loss baked into the list
Perhaps or perhaps not. I think you will find the Gauntlet is not a consistent gauge of skill. Been playing this game for a very long time and I have seen the best players fail at gauntlet.
I tried this (sometimes if you draw the top end of the curve, you just die) and other mono Justice decks (Aggro/Buff). Justice is fine, but it lacks strong control (its fine) but the DRAW!!! is terrible. Mono Shadow is better but the games go longer. However, I am also a fan of Feln identity. You can check my idea of "Perfect" Gauntlet deck on my deck list. Anyway, the deck is fine, but good luck winning vs turn 3 7mana Scion OR the 5influence good stuff 2/3/4/5 curve.
