So I figured since I have so much success with this deck in gauntlet, I'd share it and see if anyone else would take it for a test drive. This is by no means a quick gauntlet deck. Occasionally, you will win by turn 7. But where this deck shines is that it trades grind speed for win percentage. I consistently win at least 6 games with it. I've tried other gauntlet decks, but keep coming back to my own build. Most games are fun and interactive, which makes gauntlet easier for me to tolerate. The influence costs may seem terrible, but I think the powerbase is dialed in really well and most games I'll hit 2J2P2S by turns 3 to 5.
Main Board
Zelia, the Vain is probably the most important card in the deck and is responsible for fixing the board stalls. Without Zelia, you need to get the AI to 2/3 for 1 your threats.
Miris Nightshade is mostly their for the body and trading early with other units. She can also trigger nightfall with her ultimate so you can get life gain from
Rindra, the Duskblade.
Lida, Most Skilled is huge in that she can usually take out the most threatening unit on the board at that time or dropping down post attack to clear a high defense blocker.
Spirit Guide is great for use on
Kothon, the Far-Watcher or Zelia (or any of the other fliers). This gives them early synergy with
Unseen Commando if you haven't been able to drop
Darkveil Agent for that second skill.
In the Market
Vara's Intervention to either bring back a unit or make your super pumped Zelia unblockable.
Deadly Confrontation can be pulled in the late game to remove 2 or 3 units at one time to break a board stall.
Zelia, the Vain is here because she is the biggest wincon in the long game.
Feln Banner is to help hitting influence for Rindra.
Mulligans
Most of the time you want to mull any hand not having double justice or that has no 2 drops. It is really important to hit double justice so you can start playing your threats. Sometimes I'll keep hands that have all the influence but no plays until T3. Of course this is also dependent on which deck you are playing against.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Also, feedback is most welcome.
Thanks to MagicTurtle/FallenChameleon for early testing and helping to get the powerbase going in the right direction and adding in Spirit Guide to the mix.
