I'm having a lot of success on ladder with a mono red list that features big units and some direct damage. This is clearly one of the big winners from the Buried Memories expansion since the new red cards are all very good.
Just a few notes about the deck:
Don´t be afraid of plunder something away in the early game for
Passionate Stonehammer just to avoid missing a power drop. It´s very important to get to five power as soon as possible. The same is true for playing
Fire Etchings in the early game.
Getting to five power is really important here because the top of the curve is very very powerfull (
Inferno Den is great) and
Deheen Blitz is really good here to deal those last points of damage (although i don´t think
Deheen Blitz is very good in valkyries, his best use is in an aggressive shell, like this one).
By the way, i´ve played a lot
Midchief Salus with one or two amplifies and it is very good, although you should not wait until you got more power if you can play it right way.

I'm currently your deck with Veteran Mercenary instead, I like the fact that it gives you either a good second card or a bad second card that will be food for the market. Anyway, with this, I don't really pretend to say that my change has improved your decklist :)
Vadius is certainly not a very good card, but I was struggling to get a decent aggressive 3 drop from the Expedition pool of cards and ended with this one. I'm open to suggestions but still think it should be a 3 drop in this slot.
