It is with considerable excitement that I announce that Trash Panda is back.
Veena's Masterpiece is strong enough to put the overwhelm shell back in the meta. It's a giant pain for our opponent if we Teacher on turn 2 and Masterpiece+buff+swing on turn 3. All the overwhelm units are great at drawing cards off Masterpiece, and even Vorlunk can get buffed and draw a card or kill a 4-health unit. Sniper Rifle also creates card draw.
This market is NOT the market I climbed most of the way with. I had a Time market with
Stargazing,
Purify,
Emperor Cobra,
Trail Scourge, and power. I haven't tested this Fire market enough to know how I like it, and I haven't crawled through every available card, so you may do better than me there. The ideas behind the market selections are this: We play pretty fast, almost aggro, with the overwhelm damage. We can get outvalued, especially by
Nomnom & Sashenka, but we've usually done a lot of damage by then. So the Fire market is there to help us get that last bit of face damage or disrupt the opponent's ability to block.
This is the deck that's excited me most this year, not just because Trash Pandas, but because it makes a lot of cards playable that were previously though un-. It's fun and interesting, and as my stream viewers can attest, it provides more decisions than I can handle! =) Have some fun with it. Tinker with it. If you put wasps in it, don't tell me.
[April14:] -1 Sniper Rifle, +1 Longbow to combat Heron.
