This is my take on Praxis Midrange with a Sentinel/Relic theme. I've been constantly juggling pieces around since the release yesterday, having made a solemn vow to play the Sentinel tribe before Dusk Road arrived. It's been going well enough, and at this stage is the most consistent iteration I've had. My style of play is as a midrange/tempo oriented player, who isn't searching for a mind-blowing combo or the highest top-end possible.
My most recent addition is
Family Charter, which is really a great early play, enabling
Lucky Prospector and
Monolith Guardian from the very start. There's enough power augmentation in this deck full of fatties that a 7-power draw-2 late in the game is more than welcome, too. I think this is better than
Gear Master, which can't draw cards in a single turn until turn 8, and even then would only draw 1 without sticking around.
Of course we run the big robots:
Sandstorm Titan,
Heart of the Vault, and
Great-Kiln Titan are the resident Fatties, and they each work perfectly in a tempo deck.
Dawnwalker is still here from Praxis Midrange and works great with all of our massive robots.
The trickiest part of this deck is figuring out how to ramp up. Even when power runs smoothly, we run into a lot of decisions to make in the mid-game, and some aspects of our power base (especially if we ramp up with
Trail Maker and
Mysterium Orb) leave us crippled by removal or relic hate. I'm sure there are lots of options to fine-tune this deck to a specific meta, but right now is the release-week free for all. Try this one out if you'd like, and let me know what you think! Thanks for reading.
