This is what I played in the ECQ
I went 20-8 in the qualitier, and of those games I went 9-1 against Xenan.
Unfortunately I lost in round 2 of the top-64 to fast draws from Rakano surge.
Against other decks you can also use two merchants to get Talir, Who Sees Beyond + Time Etchings and combo with 9 power by playing Talir + Time Etchings on the same turn.
The ShiftstonedEternal Power Calculator is a deck-building tool that visualizes your odds of drawing enough Influence and Power based specifically on the cards found in your deck.
I don't know if you still have interest in this deck, but I've been working on a similar build. How does Unraveler of Destinies sound for the market to keep the combo going? With one market card you get to tribute your weak guys and refill your board and should be able to deal enough damage to finish them off.

Yea, that can work if you want to make the combo go off harder. You can also add a random big unit like Azindel, Revealed or Ixtol, Champion of Grodov to pull out with destiny after Kairos is in play. I have been liking market Gnash, Desert Prince as it can be used to guarantee that I stabilize against a board of flying units, which is sometimes a weakness for the deck.
The damage in this list is REALLY low. Time and time again I would combo out and only get maybe 9-12 damage on them. Then they just face aegis, board clear or just burn you down as you are pretty low life usually when you go off.
How you claim to have done so well with this list is either crazy variance or a little bit of an exaggeration. To those that try this, while it can be fun, the sentinel version is much more consistent.
I often put twinbrood into the market before comboing, and then marketing for twinbrood after kairos is +10 damage and +2 cards drawn.
Killing the opponent on the combo turn is not too important. You still get a hand full of cards and a board full of units. Non-harsh rule decks have no way to recover from that point.
If they do harsh rule you, you can return kairos next turn (or better yet, talir + kairos)
Dying to flame blast on the next turn is a fair concern. Stonescar aggro is probably the worst matchup.
In Throne where games end on average turn 4 (Right now its really turn 5-6 but that is because Aggro had no place but with the patch hitting today it will go back to Turn 4 I bet) that means you need to get a little lucky. You then need to draw 2 merchants and funny enough that was usually not a problem. Then you need to draw a power ramp and again, that was usually not an issue. Not killing them on the combo tho needs to be the point. In Throne nearly every color has some sort of board wipe or the ability to just kill you since you took so long to combo out.
Returning a Talir is not going to be enough and returning a Kairos is not going to be enough either. Tehre is so much removal in all colors that you will just lose the unit on the return. Returning a Kairos feels REALLY bady specially with the cost of the unit. Most times that card will be a dead card if you return it. Talir will also be a dead card most situations unless you just happen to ALSO have another return for Kairos AND more power ramp.
Changing this into a 2, maybe 3 color sentinel based Talir combo will assure you kill them when you combo out. As it stands right now, its a really akward RNG board clear that takes multipul cards and more mana than just a normal board clear. Its a gimmick combo list at best that when works is funny but in any sort of serious play it falls flat.
Does not change the fact that I do like the list, I just have the issue with someone trying to claim how great a deck is when in reality its pretty sub average.
