Introduction
There are certain cards that are begging to be built around, but just don't have the necessary support to make the deck viable. For the longest time
Enemy of My Enemy was the epitome of that card. Now I'm not going to say that building around it has become a better idea, but I will say: you can do it and still sweep the highest tier gauntlet. (y'know if you aren't really unlucky)
The Deck
Enemy of My Enemy is not a card you play because you needed to in order to win the game, so to facilitate that the rest of the deck needed to be stable and capable of winning without it. This became possible when they printed
Kaleb, Glory Seeker and
Eilyn, Hand of the Tempest. No longer does the dream of playing
Enemy of My Enemy for free have to wait until turn 6 or 7, now its possible (technically) on turn 4 (if you're super lucky). More importantly than
that though, cheaper Kaleb and Eilyn provide a built in framework to construct the deck around and help you draw
Enemy of My Enemy sooner.
The market exists mostly to keep me happy,
Gift of the Daimyo has been my favorite market utility since its release, but if you are not as high on it as I am (which will be probably 90% of players) than feel free to swap it for something you prefer.
