This is an ultra-aggro deck that makes use of double damage and dealing damages to the opponent's face. Unlike other aggro decks, this doesn't have many 1- or 2-drops, so it does take some time to set up but once you get the ball rolling, it can be difficult to stop.
The main win condition is to have some units with double damage, like
Coverfire Marksman or
Censari Brigand wield weapons that deal damages to the opponent's face like
Hellfire Rifle. Then, you can use
Forge Fire to further melt the opponent's face, or as another removal spell on top of
Torch and
Streets Aflame.
Another win condition is to have any double damage unit, but especially
Aika, Whirling Death or
Censari Brigand wield
Heretic's Cannon. Many in the lower ranks usually overlook the overwhelm and die instantly due to the sheer damage, and even if they do take that into account, the sheer damage alone can kill 3-4 medium-sized blockers.
Censari Brigand with
Twinbarrel and
Heretic's Cannon is beastly.
As most of the key weapons and spells cost 5 or 6 power, this deck takes time to really activate.
Groundbreaker is a good card to tank damage while you set up your weapons and synergizes well with
Ticking Grenadin, as most of the time the opponent won't block
Ticking Grenadin, thus activating
Groundbreaker's spark.
One weakness of this deck is its reliance on attachments and spells. You can't rely on drawing units to replenish your firepower so if the opponent has many removal spells early on, they can wipe out your units before you equip them with the weapons. If you don't have any units on the board or in your hand at turn 5 or 6, you're screwed. I have considered replacing
Twinbarrel with
Doorknocker, but I'm poor af and can't afford to buy the campaign.
I was inspired to build this deck after doing one of the double damage puzzles and thought that double damage is an underutilized mechanic. This deck is far from perfect and is actually the first-ever deck I built, so let me know your thoughts but please be nice.
PS - I named this Motorboat cos the main strategy is to have your Double D's on the opponent's face
