Keep in mind that smugglers tail only does damage to the opponent on you're turn.
So use cards like blazing salvo and desecrate on their turn when you don't have the curse relic and on you're turn when you do.
The miras nightshade in the market is a really nice bit of extra draw that can do damage on you're turn but i didnt want them main as paying 3 life can quickly add up without the life steal units or spells to mitigate the self damage, I went fot the minotaur instead as this only deals 1 damage to you and still draws you a card
the jekks knife and surgeons sword are there mostly for the minotaur and the the teething welp mostly, but the saw is also a way of getting some life back and potentially get something back from the void.

think it needs a piece of straight removal like annihilate instead of quarry but rest i think is fine
a power searcher and damage in case of power screw
a draw unit plus self damage
nektar of unlife can kill something with 2 def and recur something and give it decay
and makkars quiver can again kill something with 2 def and give you're units reach late game - combos well with the minotaur
