Pretty standard list that runs a more midrange heavy approach to your standard Praxis Token list.
Trying to incorporate both playstyles into one works really well.
Leaving this list up here so I can keep experimenting with the list, maybe going for a jumbo praxis list like we have seen in the latest tournaments.
Thoughts on the meta
Playing around in masters for the last couple of days, trying different lists and ideas I had.
It felt like the amount of Praxis lists I faced has dropped massively, maybe thats due to the popularity at the start of the month and people getting burned out of the idea to pilot this deck.
Praxis definitely has a decent place in the meta in my own experience, this might vary depending on where you're ranked at.
This Deck packs a punch as we all know and either hate or love this deck and the concept. <3
Decent might not do it justice though, as mentioned before, people dont seem to play it anymore and thus making it more viable again to run decks that go wide on board since decks like Icaria Blue are fringe right now, just as much as Hooru Control, which could come back to deal with Praxis yet again, in case this deck sees a sudden resurgence.
Lunar Magus really helps in terms of gas and redrawing, so
Temple Scribe might leave the list soon again.
Assembly Line is just bonkers, especially with Xenan Obelisks, even in the lategame its a nice topdeck.
Trail Maker,
Auralian Merchant and
Initiate of the Sands for additional ramp, powerfixing as well as market options.
Not Deadset on the market list yet, could use improvements.
Sandstorm Scarf makes scream decks, which seem to rise in popularity, obsolete until they got rid of our relic, which we can potentially redraw with
Disjunction, otherwise Disjunction remains a flex slot to get back other Obelisks or getting rid of our enemies obelisk or relics that need an answer.
Rally was in the deck but got replaced by two temple scribes for now, this might change again in the future.
In testing it felt like a 'win more' card instead of getting me into a position to win the game in the first place.
Alhed, Mount Breaker is another card i would like to test more extensivly, but since I only own one copy, its hard to get actual testing done. The fact of the matter is, if Alhed stays on the board without being answered immediately the opponent will have a bad time, which makes it a nice unit to drop on curve as well as a potential scout to see your opponents hand and get an easy read.
Also consider "Vault of the Praxis" x 2 plus one in merchant stack.
