Cleared gauntlet 4 times except a poopy draw my very first time playing it lol. I did’t expect this to be so incredible. It literally has everything you need to survive. Lifesteal, card draw, end game ramp, and alternative win conditions.

Here’s the breakdown:
This deck uses the ping to player effects of Impending Doom, Argenport Investigator, and Auric Interrogator, to passively trigger Katra, the Devoted. You give these units lifesteal via Surgen’s Saw or Xenan Lifespeaker.

Even just stalling, she can overwhelm without any work on your end, but waiting. The deck runs a low curve so it is easy to get to 4 Power. Don’t be afraid to trade early just to buy time if the decks you’re against are being pushy. You have the lifesteal to counter the damage in the long run.

Alright, what am I doing wrong? At masters, I have had one run get up to 5 wins. The others might get up to 3 wins, but even that is about 50/50 right now.

I feel Hatecleaver is a little awkward here as well.. most of the life gain that occurs is from self damaging units, which damages the weapon.. so it’s a little counterproductive as you will typically only get 1 swing in anyways before it breaks on a unit.. i think there are better choices to fill the slot.. and the deck needs dark return as well

True enough. I haven’t frankly needed it and it ends up not going infinite Ike I have planned for. So those 4 card slots are variable to taste. I leave it open for new ideas, the deck runs fine with or without them for now.

Needs Amber Waystone. I know you're mostly splashing time, but you can easily afford to cut some shadiw sigals. It's just free lifegain triggers for Katra. I've used Interrogator pings with Katra, but never thought about impending doom, good idea! I might have to give this a whirl. Only thing that seems really out of place is Jack's Knife. I feel like that could literally be anything else and improve the deck.

Once something gets lifesteal, Jack’s Knife becomes a lifesteal trigger to buff all with Katra, the Devoted. It also can the trigger needed to get to get Auric Interrogator the first hump above 5 attack to get cards rolling and his life triggers started.

Also, I will test the Amber Waystone. It’s a great idea for extra triggers.

oh ok, I always thought the knife did the damage. I just replaced it with temple scribe (after adding more time sources). I'm also playing the full set of crests which I see are left out

So I see an issue with your power setup. Crests are Depleted. So are the Seats if you don’t have enough Sigils. Playing Crests and Waystones greatly slows the decks ability to play on curve. There are literally only two cards, Katra and Banish, in the whole deck that require the Time Influence. I find playing on curve is far more important than scry 1 from Crests or the off chance I get to 4 time influence, which nearly never happens.

Ya, I ended up making a bunch of changes, your list is significantly more aggressive. I find the crests are worth it and the games are still usually over pretty quick once Katra or Doom get going. You don't have a lot of time, but you also don't have anything that requires more than 2 shadow, so it's not that hard to play with the powerbase.
