So I, once again, accidentally made what is likely a good Gauntlet deck attempting to utilize some of the new cards. In particular, Rolling Spikeback
, who is two dino bodies for one card. This can be highly valuable at times, and is one of the reasons card draw is not terribly important. There's also enough multifaction units to make Mother of Skies
make a bunch of 1/2 fliers, which is a fantastic defense against opposing flier decks while your grounded dinosaurs beat the opponent up. Lightning Storm
is merely a necessary measure against the many go wide decks in Gauntlet.
As for the Market, there's a good variety here. Infinite Hourglass
is a cheap relic that also makes the stun deck completely useless against you (nice), Torrential Downpour
is another emegency manuever for real wide boards, but can be used for that last tiny ping against one of the opposing units (yes, Sudden Death is threatening enough to warrant this), Xenan Initiation
is an addition after realizing that sometimes Twilight Hunt isn't in your hand when you need to end a threat on board immediately, and rounding out the non-dinos, Linrei's Codex
makes Kimi and a few others fly, but also gives this deck a mean lategame as the potential to draw a few cards per turn to fuel its insatiable dino rampage. Worldbearer Behemoth
is the big beater dino to pull out when you need a big body on the field.
