[Bronze III S13 -> Gold III S14] MidrangeBurstDamage+0093 ’s Valkyrie Cadet Squadron (face deck; full decklist + guide)
Eternal’s newest face deck archetype, named after both its win condition minion and the official civilian auxiliary faction of the United States Air Force. A true weapon-buffing, face-ripping deck; none of this wideboard aggro nonsense.

Full decklist, strategy, and mulligan guide included below. The deck took 86 hours of gameplay to get to Gold III, so any help optimizing it will be truly appreciated and updated on EternalWarcry.

BIO:
First, a little bit about myself. Wow- a “first, a little bit about myself” blurb…
I’ve dreamt of writing this blurb for years, so I really don’t know what to say…
I guess just that I should have known the moment I’d write it would come at Noob Hour on January 31st an hour and 27 minutes before Season 14 ended, haha.
I started playing competitive TCG in August 2015, Season 17 of Hearthstone. I spent a lot of my time there as vampiric control and clownshoes mid, trying to understand TCG mechanics, but I earned 5 gold hero portraits and reached rank 9.
When Kobolds & Catacombs came out, I started playing Bigspell Mage and began to realize how one-dimensional Hearthstone was, in both design (money) and fan base (Priest & Hunter).
I have not logged onto my Pay2Lose Hearthstone account in 46 days, but reached Silver II in Eternal last month with Aggro Flying Dino (decklist coming soon! UPDATE: although people are actually doing it now with the new card… I’m like a psychic) and haven’t looked back since.
My dream is not to stream or any such thing, but to deliver quality homebrew decklists to the Eternal community for as long as this game exists- I hope you guys will support me in this as you’ve supported me in other Eternal endeavors…
…As someone said on Discord tonight, almost exactly when I hit Gold III with this deck, “Everything is hard until it isn’t.”

DECKLIST:
4 Seek Power (Set1 #408) - Your topdeck-fixer. A mandatory 4x for any Hearthbro like myself playing any deck in Eternal IMHO
2 Valkyrie Aspirant (Set1 #127) - Flying Knyropight.
4 Stalwart Silverwing (Set2 #72) - Really nice revenge for when you have weapons stranded in your hand, but like many things in this deck you’ll see your opponent die before the unit can even ult.
This will definitely win you your classic burnt-out aggro urinating match for you though.
4 Beastcaller's Amulet (Set1 #282) - Ground Control Amulet. The only reason you have more than a couple of Shadow Sigils is so you can BE. SURE. to curve this out if it’s in your starting hand or first two draws.
Like, preemptive FAQ here, Q: “Why is power stuptarded in this deck?” A: “For the amulets, my friend.”
2 Loyal Watchwing (Set1 #150) - Flying Roni Onin.
4 Rooftop Vigilante (Set3 #274) - It’s good board meat and all of your poisonous Valkyries can clear a board quicker than normal if you’re in trouble.
4 Slay (Set2 #236) - This was not mine, it was subbed in by a more experienced player on Discord a week ago.
4 Valkyrie Cadet (Set3 #123) - This is your win condition.
4 Valkyrie Enforcer (Set1 #151) - Either curve him out for board meat or save him to silence a minion which will allow you to continue ripping face (only lifesteal and flying minions get silenced typically, your opponent will be dead before anything actually pops off, even sometimes if their board looks super midgro.
4 Bronze Cuirass (Set1 #148) - Wait do decks actually need card draw? And man guys you’re gonna find out about me so quickly I’m super into Cheese. I’m a very conservative player even when I work on an aggro, burn, mid, or face deck.
3 Mantle of Justice (Set0 #21) - It’s generally accepted that Mantle of Justice is terrible in anything besides a monojustice deck- you’re going to want to opt into a lot of Justice mana to get value from this weapon considering that.
4 Valkyrie Spireguard (Set2 #90) - Bling and Wade boys, Bling. And. Wade.
2 Inquisitor Makto (Set2 #242) - Because it’s noble to plate your Valkyrie wings with gold while Argenport’s citizens starve.
3 Rolant's Fist (Set2 #98) - It’s what gives the deck teh ghud mems. KEEP your units ALIVE hoping to pull off some sort of fat weapon on them should have been the *FIRST SENTENCE IN THIS GUIDE*.
2 Valkyrie Harvester (Set3 #249) - Every good homebrewer starts as some idiot throwing pointless, trendy big drops into a brainless aggro deck purely for fun. Most opponents are dead by Mana 7 turn; I swear, there’s no point to Mr. Harvester besides the meme/WTF factor and making an entertaining lore deck.
I was given one and then I crafted one just for this netdeck’s memery cuz he’s simply adorable like the Yetis and Grenadins. I don’t even play wideboard; I don’t even have a use for this card in my collection at all yet here it is in 2x. Idk man I’m only 24 and my Mom died last month, some of the card art just cheers me up.
8 Justice Sigil (Set1 #126)
3 Shadow Sigil (Set1 #249)
4 Argenport Banner (Set2 #231)
4 Seat of Vengeance (Set0 #55)
2 Common Cause (Set3 #279)
4 Diplomatic Seal (Set1 #425)

MULLIGANS:
Beastcaller’s Amulet, Rooftop Vigilante, Bronze Cuirass, Valkyrie Spireguard, Inquisitor Makto. A good noob meta scrap deck really goes for similar mulligans regardless of their opponent.
Not even considering the simplicity of a face deck, maybe even aggro, combo, or clownmid decks that do well in cheap, wonky metas tend to, themselves, be simplistic anti-meta. For instance, I got this deck to gold by facing mostly Unseen and Stranger Rainbow decks.

SIDEBOARD:
1 Mantle of Justice (Set0 #21)
1 Valkyrie Bodyguard (Set3 #135) - Wideboard tech
2 Justice Sigil (Set1 #126)
2 Argenport Banner (Set2 #231)
As has been said, this is a deck made to scrap in the annals of noob meta Bronze -> Gold; I don’t think a deck that does such successfully has or needs much of a sideboard.
We’ll call sideboard a shift of power cards to support either Beastcaller’s Amulets or Valkyrie bodyguards versus Mantle of Justices, with a Valkyrie bodyguard being the tech if you’re getting wideboard stomped.
The shift to more Justice Sigils is accompanied by a 4th Mantle of justice being subbed for a super Rolant’s Fisting feel, or if you’re not liking your topdeck you’d leave the mana where it was and take a Mantle out for a Valkyrie Bodyguard (silence it if you need to really do work)
. As I said a few times before, if ANYBODY wants to HELP with this deck it would be MUCH appreciated and faithfully upheld, whether in the decklist itself or the guide.

GUIDE:
Burn deck. Rip face. You’re not going to remove your opponent’s threats based on how much they scare you, only based upon how likely it is that the unit itself can prevent you from ripping face.
Depending upon how much health you have, you’re gonna Slay or Silence a flying 1/1 over a grounded 4/7. It’s all. About. The Face. Considering that, this deck makes opponents very angry if you get a nice topdeck, which in all honesty is likely.
So what happens when you’re getting this nice topdeck? You’ve got to understand that you’re facing an opponent the likes of which you’ve never before- this opponent is Shia Lebouf-forehead-vein-redface-raging right now because they can’t do anything, so you’ve GOT to be thinking about what THEY’RE going to in 3-4 turns, how much their class’ best removals cost and how many of those cards your opponent will have in a deck (based upon the minions they’ve dropped already, not by the power cards they’ve played).
This is because you’ve brought this player straight OUT of tilt and RIGHT into rage- you will be making more misplays than them because this deck has that kind of wiggle room, and you’ve pulled a worse topdeck than them cuz there’s no board meat in an all-flying deck so you’ve got to see the future in their hand far more when playing face than when playing aggro or mid…
…Eternal is interesting, I’ve played a few games already where I KNEW that I knew my opponent’s topdeck and what he was gonna do next better than he himself did (KNOW or LEARN how much damage your opponent is going to be able to do to you or which minions your opponent will be able to remove in however many turns or with however many power cards)- but I guess that comes with the years in TCGs…
…either way, any good aggro player knows that the above giant rant is face decking 101. So get out there, have fun, and please upvote the deck/thread because I’d like to see MidrangeBurstDamage+0093 decks become a brand that streamers can screw around with when they want to switch it up a little bit for their viewers! Once again any HELP improving this deck would be APPRECIATED, if you’re playing it or streaming it and you had fun or pulled off a win LET ME KNOW, IT WOULD MAKE MY DAY!
THANKS FOR CHECKING IT OUT!
