My entry for the TNT serf format Throwdown.
Plan is to overwhelm the opponent with board and card advantage from buffed and then copied the echo units (
Pteriax Hatchling, and
Twinbrood Sauropod), either with
Twinning Ritual, putting them on back top of the deck with
Meditation or
Nesting Avisaur while your inspire units
Journey Guide,
Living Example or
Dusk Raider are on the board, or a combination of both.
The dream play is;
Turn 1
Journey Guide
Turn 2 Draw
Twinbrood Sauropod (now only costs 4), play
Living Example
Turn 3 Draw
Dusk Raider, play Dusk raider for 1,
Twinning Ritual a
Twinbrood Sauropod (Which now costs 3, is a 7/6 with beserk).
Turn 4 Play
Nesting Avisaur Putting
Twinbrood Sauropod back on top of the deck (reducing it's cost to 1).
Turn 5 Draw
Twinbrood Sauropod, Play 2 Beserk 8/7
Twinbrood Sauropod's for 0, and Play Beserk 7/6
Twinbrood Sauropod for 3.
Short of a Board Wipe, that should be more than enough board and card advantage to overwhelm your opponent. Especially with at least 2 more
Twinbrood Sauropods in hand, ready to either hit the board, or be further buffed / copied.
Granted, that is the dream scenario, but similar lines are not at all rare. Including playing 3-4 0 or 1 cost 5/4 flying Beserk
Pteriax Hatchling's.
Now, if you have a clock, and no crown, then by all means swap it in. However Crown of Possibilities does lead to some crazy turns (giving destiny to the Clockroach you just drew is crazy).
The constraints for the TNT Throwdown were only 1 Legendary and a single copy of 3 rares, otherwise it would run 4 clockroach main, probably 2(or 3) Crowns, actual merchants / smugglers, and move the Thunderstrike Dragon to the market. I tried to make that deck work, but haven't come up with a build I like yet. But I do think there is one out there somewhere.
