Just made masters with this after languishing in gold forever with a different deck.
Simple monkey trick, play
Triumphant Stranger and protect/replace him as necessary, while hoping you have a display to counter your opponents shenanigans.
This deck was alot more fun than I thought it would be, and surprisingly effective if you are patient about waiting for the right moments to play the triumphants.
The
Wandering Beholder has some nice synergy and does a good job of weakening opponents and soaking up kill spells that would otherwise go to the stranger spawner.
The RNG component can be devastating for you or them, but that is what makes each game different and compelling. I have had games where it was all 2/2 strangers just piling on influence and others where the golden stranger drops for the perfect counter at a critical moment.
Also, it's dirt cheap to make.
