Dark Onis

I am trying to build a dark oni theme deck too, as far as I could notice is that onis themselves are not enough to keep on the board, and a powerful sinnergy is up to weapons that are wielded by units, than it comes the sinnergy since the shadow weapons have a battleskills and more impactful habilities, and I suggest to insert some gunslinger in the deck.

As you have more aggressive weapons you may choose onis with more than 3 health and more draw to put on this type of deck, and retrieve some late-game onis like Ijin, which needs a specific condition to work
