My own homebrewed version of Argenport Twist that really aced it out in the recent Expedition event. Of course, results will vary based on Siraf and Street Urchin luck, but it will often be very good for you.
Headhunter is an inclusion that give you early aggression, a decent early blocker, and a value engine with
Distilled Venom all in one. It's not uncommon to draw 4 cards off of the combination of these two alone. A few inclusions of
Lost Scroll and a
Reclaim in the market helps with ramping quickly to the main plan of just twisting
Street Urchin or the centerpiece
Siraf, Grand Strategist for obscene lategame value.
This deck primarily struggles with extreme go wide strategies with tokens and Icaria Blue. The former dodges most of your removal, though Distilled Venom can take out a token while getting you value, and even
Defiance is pretty nice when taking one of many token units out. As for Icaria Blue (or FJS, sometimes), Icaria is a prety big problem for this deck, and Icaria Blue in particular has controlling elements that Argenport does not like to deal with. If you squeeze as much value out of your units before Icaria comes down, you might have enough adavntage to fight the deck well enough.
And that's about all that comes to mind, currently! Happy Expedition twisting, everyone!
