I originally threw this list together just to meme but it's ended up going 34-9 (79% winrate) during my last 5 runs.
Daring Pioneer has been one of the best cards in the deck. There aren't many lists running low cost seek power/favor effects so it almost always trades for a good card. I've noticed a ton of
Harsh Rule decks lately and trading your Pioneer for a board clear feels amazing.
Trail Maker might seem a little out of place, but with so many high influence cards in the deck that you want to cast early, turn 1 Trail Maker is about the best this deck can hope for.
Shepherd's Horn has been a hero in this deck as well. It pretty much counters any early aggression and allows you to come back in games you had no business winning.
The typical Elysian Midrange cards also seem to match up pretty well in this event. I think I've seen a single
Tavrod, Auric Broker during my 10 or so runs so
Permafrost has been excellent. There are a ton of
Annihilate's so your
Cirso, the Great Glutton and
False Prince's tend to stick around longer than is typical. And again, Daring Pioneer being able to be a Backlash on legs has been really powerful in almost every matchup.
I haven't noticed any matchups that seem unwinnable. Overwhelm helps a bunch against Grenadin style decks, Horn helps vs Aggro/Burn, and
Crystallize is still a great finisher. I did try
Talir, Who Sees Beyond in the deck since there's so many good hits, but it turns out it's really hard to hit 8 power in a deck that only plays 21 power (after you get to 5 power your
Amber Monument turn into Units). I tried finding a place for
Plated Goliath but I'm not sure what I would cut.
Overall, this deck seemed really fun to play with lots of interesting decisions to make throughout the matches.
Is there any rplacements for some of the titans, world bearer and the gluttons ?
