I've played a lot of shadow control recently. Decided to test Hooru and man does this deck slap. Everything has aegis but our lifesteal land. Lots of cheap interaction and ways to spend excess mana once we've stalled out the game.

Roshi, I tried this deck out ... and went 5-5 in Diamond. My observation:
1. You need to play Eilyn's Favor. Without more ways to get face aegis, Zido will tear your hand apart. I lost badly to Argenport control, and one reason was Zido just kept coming back. In addition, Stonescar will kill all of your aegis creatures unless you have face aegis. The Favor would probably be at least one way to get face aegis more consistently.
2. I admit, I found Chloric Mixsurprisingly good. Was key to beating Stonebreaker Bow.
2. Spire Loyalist was also pretty good, letting you get back into games against aggro and serving as a victory condition.
3. Overall, the deck doesn't seem well situated. As I said, Argenport control demolishes it (especially without more face aegis), and a Gemblazer Cannon on a card with aegis is just incredibly hard to deal with. In general, aegis is everywhere because of Plank, and I think you really need Vara's Authority to really do well.
Surprisingly good. My biggest complaint is Choloric Mix and Davia. The former doesn't feel amazing enough against aggro, and the latter feels like its missing good pulls besides Wisdom. So I'm trying -2 Choloric +2 Caustic Rain.
Holy Hell. I randomly grabbed this because it looked like fun, and started playing...badly I'm sure. Deck wins even with my continued poor play. Damn. Highly recommend.

That being said ... it was fun to play!
