I play it alot to gauntlet grind, very reliable. Getting a World Joiner out is so satisfying, and you can use her via killer if you dont wanna attack her into deadlies and stuff.
I don't like Tasbu in Xenan for a few reasons. The biggest is that running a Shadow power base instead of a Time one makes casting Teacher unreliable enough to not be worth running, and she is by far the best 2 drop.
The other is that on a more macro scale, grindy Xenan with Tasbu and probably Dizo's Office (and a lot of people like Street Urchin, too, but that card is horrendus outside of Crownwatch Press-Gang) isn't beating actual grindy, late game decks. You won't run out of things to do, and you can hang in the game longer, but your turn 8+ things are going to be worse than the turn 8+ things from actual late game decks like FTP or Hooru control. So playing a slower Tasbu version isn't actually going to win more games than just smashing them with Xumucan since you need to win turns 5-7 anyways, even if you feel like you have more agency to go long.
This deck is the truth. I went from rank 363 to 8th in about 3 hours. I’ve gone up and down a bit in the days since, but I’m currently at 6th and on a 12 win streak
Can't count to 5? They also don't know how Ambush works with relic weapon attacks; Open mana for a Xumucan I just got back with Dark Return? Opponent deems Stormholt Knife and swing with it a good play.
Ive been having similar experiences tbh. People play into him so often. It makes for some great mindgames. Also, just won a game where opponent spent all game ramping to get 8 owls down, just to have them all thrown back into the deck. Feels great!

Mix that with Gnash and the nerfs to Rakano, and I think this has the pieces to be a real deck now.
Edit: After more playtesting, I have discovered that the Eternal playerbase has trouble counting to 5.
Classic.
And yeah, people are showing no fear when I leave 5 mana open. I guess Xumu hasn’t been prevalent enough for people to recognize it.
This deck’s nut plays are satisfying af.
Xumu is a riot, banish buffed is awesome, teacher consistently on 2 is nuts. I love it.
Thinking about sneaking in a dizo's office but not sure where
