I'm a simple man and I love playing out huge Time creatures, but I also hat having them instantly removed by Shadow cards instantly, so I'm trying to build a hybrid with the big stampy praxis bodies that I love with the control elements from a Peaks deck to try and keep some toys on the board.
Eager to hear peoples feedback and ideas on how to further refine the deck. I'm terrible at picking what needs to be culled and focused on.
Updated as per b0n0b0's feedback
I also got the achievement of taking 3 turns in a row, that game was one of the funniest games in a long time, so thanks for that :D
First of all, I cut m&n from the market. I think running any FTP list without power in the market is a mistake, and with Zal Chi you've already got a great finisher. Other than that I love the blue heavy market, those hate cards give this deck game against way grindier decks that FTP often struggles against.
I also ran into fixing problems with only 2 Seek Power, so I cut both and added 3 Find The Way. Sure they're slower, but they double as discard and market fodder and a week ago I didn't have too much problems against aggro, so I got away with durdling early to fix my mana. Also getting Rambas reduction on them makes fixing sooo cheap, it's awesome.
I went to 4 Equivocate, since it's the only kind of hard removal we've got, so playing anything less than four is a mistake in my eyes.
I also added one End of Hostilities to fetch with Garden of Omens, there are awesome targets for it in the deck and having Warp is so awesome in turns where you just go off after fetching it with garden of omens.
I also added two Sabertooth Prideleaders, I love the life gain and having some more relic hate doesn't hurt, especially when it comes on a 3/5 ambush stick, it really sucks to have to pay 5 and throw a Garden of omens to the wolves just because you have to get rid of a relic then and there. Also people often enough still don't play around 4 open power against a Time deck ;)
I've cut the Jotun Hurler, since we've got enough discard and market fodder with FtW and I didn't run into too many aegis threats, they were more or less dead cards.
I cut 1 Permafrost for the equivocate.
I cut Call for Aid, I feel the card doesn't do enough, sure it's nice that it's fast and replaces itself, but for 4 power its not impactful enough.
All in all:
Cuts:
-1 Permafrost
-2 Seek power
-2 Jotun Hurler
-2 Call for Aid
- M&N in the Market
Adds:
+1 Equivocate
+3 Find the Way
+2 Saber tooth Prideleader
+1 End of Hostilities
+ Praxis Banner in the market.
I also went back and forth between playing and cutting the 4th Honor of Claws instead of the 4th instinct, not sure what's the right call there.
Cheers!
Glad to hear that the decks been of use.
I like the changes you've suggested, I hadn't considered running End of Hostilities, but with how prevalent Kairos is in the meta these days that's an awesome idea. Similar adding in the Sabres and the extra equivocate are nice tech pieces for the Elysium agro decks that Sodi's Spellbreaker have enabled, both for dropping in a surprise blocker into the unit with the spell-breaker and for disposing of units that have been buffed by irritating Gryffins exalted weapon.
I'll give it a test-drive with those changes and update the desk list.
I think that with the state of the meta ATM I prefer the flexibility of the Display to the Honor. It's a good spot answer for a ton of things and it's kind of hilarious if Kairos gets to stick on your board for a turn and you can bounce creatures back from the board into your hand for the double ping.
