Just some jank I threw together.
You use
Maelstrom Bell to buff Downpour, the only damaging spell in the deck. You can Merchant for
Resurface to put the buffed Downpour on the top of your deck, or grab another bell if you don't have one.
Once you've drawn Downpour, you can use
Messenger Hawk to shuffle copies of the buffed downpour into your deck. That's the core strategy of the deck, everything else is just filler and can be replaced with just about any strategy and you're not necessarily limited to primal. I went with a flying theme since
Windshaper can turn your Hawks into a clock, albeit a slow one.
In practice, with a good hand I can hit 7 damage downpours, probably more with additional setup. Obviously you may never draw your Downpour, in which case you pray and draw cards. You give Time Decks problems with
Polymorph and token decks struggle against a Downpour buffed more than twice. Scream Decks also hate Polymorph effects. If you have the option, you can pop face aegis with an unbuffed Downpour.
Jennev Merchant for
Rain of Frogs can really help against slower control matchups, especially FJS.
Obviously, the deck can change in a multitude of ways depending on your collection. If you wanna go hard on Jank, you can shift into
Mind Link or
Calderan Cradle with
Tamarys, the Geomancer. If you want to lean more on control,
Eye of Winter and
Icebreaker is a classic combo for keeping your opponent's board clear,
Knucklebones is an alternative win condition if for some reason a series of high damage Downpours isn't enough.
A more viable deck would use a Yeti Base, obviously
Champion of Fury is probably the strongest 2 drop in the game and
Iceberg Warchief synergizes with Downpour and
Crunch, the Hoarder is just a generally good card.I would also recommend
Eilyn's Intervention in a Yeti deck, the counter spell puts a hard stop to
Hailstorm however the damage can block your
Maelstrom Bell so I would only put it in the market, personally.
Hope you found this enlightening.
